Job Description

The Strategic Partner Development Lead at Google Home Partnerships is responsible for building and maintaining external relationships with partners, developing cross-product strategic initiatives, and driving agreements with potential partners. This role involves negotiating agreements, building consensus with internal and external executives, and serving as the relationship manager for existing agreements. The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to incubate, launch, and scale new features and user experiences. Responsibilities include identifying, scoping, analyzing, and structuring new partnership opportunities, managing agreements or partnerships, and working with C-level executives. The role requires strong business acumen, product knowledge, and experience in relevant verticals.

Job Details


Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of experience in business development, partnerships, management consulting, or investment banking, in the Consumer Electronics, Auto, OEMs, Telecom, E-Commerce/Retail, Apps, Ads, Gaming, or Technology industries.
  • Experience working with C-level executives and cross-functionally across all levels of management.
  • Experience managing agreements or partnerships.
  • Experience in quantitative modeling, specifically identifying, scoping, analyzing, and structuring new partnership opportunities.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience in driving new business development through proactive lead generation, pipeline building, and establishing relationships with executive-level stakeholders in a regional or global market.
  • Experience managing cross-functional internal stakeholders and executive-level partner relationships.
  • Experience in managing cross-functional and internal stakeholders.
  • Experience in building large-scale financial models and managing agreements on a regional or global level.

The Google Home Business Development team accelerates the global growth and innovation of the Home Product Area by driving new business opportunities through partnerships. We support business strategy critical to the success of Google Home.

In this role, you will develop strategies, identify, define and structure critical partnerships, negotiate agreements, and cultivate Google's relationships directly with partners. You will collaborate with many internal cross-functional stakeholders.

The Global Partnerships organization is responsible for exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Google’s Global Partnerships team works with a wide range of partners to bring the best of Google to power their business. The Global Partnerships team supports Google’s own Product teams with essential partnerships to help Google’s user experiences in advertising, Search, Assistant, Maps, Travel, Shopping, Payments and more. Teams create product-enabling partnerships, go-to-market strategies and incubate business growth for a variety of products.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $134,000-$196,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Build, maintain, and evolve external relationships with partners and across the ecosystem, and manage strategic partnerships with entities of all sizes.
  • Develop cross-product area strategic partner initiatives and build Go-To-Market (GTM) strategies to meet broader Google goals across rapidly changing industries.
  • Ideate, drive agreements with potential partners and renewals/expansions for existing partners, and build consensus with internal and external executives.
  • Serve as the relationship manager for the current existing agreements. Help realize and optimize value from these partnerships while building effective long-term relationships.
  • Engage with several internal cross-functional teams across multiple geographies to incubate, launch, improve, and scale new features and user experiences across markets and functional areas.
