We’re looking to hire an IT Business Analyst for a World-renowned medical center. Medical institution known for its patient-centered care, cutting-edge research, and a collaborative culture that fosters innovation, excellence, and compassionate healthcare.
You’ll join the Business Analysis team to gather requirements and support application enhancements using Agile, Waterfall, and ITIL. This is a 6 – 12-month contract opportunity. The role is located in Rochester Minnesota and remote.
IT Business Analyst Responsibilities:
Work with application and project teams to gather, analyze, communicate and validate the requirements for enhancements to applications, both internally developed and purchased software systems.
Serve the team as a liaison between the various stakeholders groups to ensure requirements are fully defined according to Software Development Lifecycle and project management processes with a focus on ITIL approaches to service and knowledge management.
Requires experience and understanding of Mayo's Information Technology and Information Services environment.
Project management proficiencies should include the ability to facilitate meetings and documentation, development, testing, communication, education, implementation, and ongoing support needs for application and quality improvement projects.
Provide change management and governance recommendations for subsequent application releases and will review testing plans to ensure their adequacy to verify that all requirements are met sufficiently to obtain customer acceptance of all deliverables.
Participate with groups inside and outside the department to continue the advancement of Business Analysis role in the department.
Help the project team understand the Business Analysis process and tools being used to effectively accomplish their mission.
IT Business Analyst Requirements:
High School/GED and 4 years of business analyst training/certification and experience OR a bachelor’s degree and 3 years of business analyst training/certification and experience.
Requires proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite.
Experience with large, complex business transformations and process changes.
Knowledge of healthcare information systems/terminology, tools/templates for process improvement and work management.
Experience with Microsoft Office tools, Visio, Lucid and project/service management software.
Familiar with business analysis methods, Agile, and waterfall.
Responsibilities that have included collaborations with stakeholders to understand the needs and outcomes and the ability to translate into business requirements.
Development of current and future process documentation as well as detailed requirements to ensure the solution meets the intended outcomes. Managing and status reporting of requirements throughout the lifecycle of the product.
Effectively communicating insights across cross-functional teams and leadership.
