Job Description

As a Strategic Partner Manager at YouTube's Content Partnerships team, you'll cultivate long-term relationships with partners, negotiate complex content agreements, and collaborate cross-functionally. You'll drive partner success on the platform, analyze key metrics, and recommend improvements. This role involves working with traditional and digital-first publishers, advocating for YouTube, and fostering a thriving ecosystem. Responsibilities include managing partner portfolios, defining and executing growth strategies, and collaborating with internal teams (Sales, Marketing, Legal, etc.) to deliver solutions. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills, and a strong understanding of the media landscape.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience in business development, partnerships, management consulting, or content strategy, with exposure to areas like media strategy, news publishers or internet based businesses.
  • Experience managing agreements or partnerships.
  • Experience working with C-level executives and cross-functionally across all levels of management.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6 years of experience across sales and business development/consulting/content strategy, with exposure to areas like media strategy, news publishers or internet based businesses.
  • Excellent partnership skills, and demonstrated ability to influence cross-functionally and externally.
  • Excellent communication, investigative, organizational and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow direct relationships with a portfolio of partners, which includes day-to-day partnership activities, performance growth, and advocate internally on behalf of our partners.
  • Define, model, execute against and analyze key distribution and product adoption metrics and recommend improvements internally and to partners, as well as develop new opportunities.
  • Work with teams, across the YouTube Business Organization and cross-functional teams (Sales, Marketing, Policy, Comms, Legal and others) to bring the solutions to partners.
