This Account Strategist role within Google's Small Business Solutions Engage team focuses on driving growth for SMB clients. Responsibilities include delivering against quarterly business goals, building client relationships through consultations and pitches, managing client portfolios, identifying growth opportunities, and ensuring clients achieve their marketing objectives using Google Ads. The role requires strong communication, analytical, and relationship-building skills to advise clients on optimizing their Google Ads investment and achieving a strong return. Success involves understanding client needs, developing targeted strategies, and delivering exceptional customer experiences.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years in advertising sales, marketing, or consulting
  • Fluent English communication
  • Client relationship management
  • Deliver against ambitious growth goals
Good to have:
  • Experience assessing client success
  • Managing digital advertising campaigns
  • Knowledge of online marketing strategy

Job Details

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience in advertising sales and strategy, marketing, consulting, or media.
  • Ability to communicate in English fluently to support client relationships in this region.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in assessing and achieving client success via business techniques, including effective questioning, objection handling, engaging narratives, storytelling and engaged promoting.
  • Experience in managing digital advertising campaigns and performance marketing.
  • Knowledge of online marketing strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver against ambitious quarterly business and product growth goals.
  • Establish relationships via phone calls or e-mail marketing and conduct regular phone consultations and business pitches with clients to advise them on how to get the return on their Google Ads investment.
  • Own a portfolio of small businesses by understanding growth drivers identifying opportunities for growth, managing risks and building quarterly plans for achievement.
  • Drive customer growth by delivering outstanding customer business experience and achieving customer business and marketing objectives.
