gTech’s Strategy and Operations team (gSO) is made up of strategic partners and trusted advisors that drive success and transformative changes for gTech. We create value through deep functional and business expertise combined with analytical rigor to formulate and deliver strategies. Using core capabilities ― strategy, analytics, and communications ― we empower gTech to do amazing things to land the present, and build for the future. As a Strategy Projects Lead, you will have the opportunity to work with gTech leadership to identify, design and implement opportunities to drive business growth and continuous improvement. You will partner with teams across the business and Global Server Operations (gSO) and other GTM teams to deliver on the businesses most important priorities and enable the gTech organization. You will have the opportunity to work on a breadth of topics in gSO and get exposure to several aspects of the business. You will support teams in making critical decisions and achieving their business objectives. You will work on a project basis, prioritized on business impact and need.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 4 years of experience in management consulting, sales operations, business strategy, investment banking, venture capital, private equity, or corporate advisory
  • Ability to lead complex operational and tactical initiatives
  • Ability to navigate ambiguous situations
  • Excellent team player with the ability to successfully execute cross-functionally
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to take complex, ambiguous topics and create simple, compelling narratives
Good to have:
  • 2 years of experience with an advanced degree
  • Excellent networking and influencing skills

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience in management consulting, sales operations, business strategy, investment banking, venture capital, private equity, or corporate advisory, or 2 years of experience with an advanced degree.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Ability to lead complex operational and tactical initiatives, with increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguous situations and ramp-up on new issues statements and opportunities.
  • Excellent team player with the ability to successfully execute cross-functionally.
  • Excellent networking and influencing skills, with the ability to work across various functions.
  • Excellent communication skills, and the ability to take complex, ambiguous topics and create simple, compelling narratives for different audiences.

The Go-to-Market Operations (GtM) team ensures Google's complex and ever-evolving Ads business runs smoothly. We are instrumental in setting go-to-market strategy, and ensuring flawless execution and operations against the strategy. We have teams embedded in each of the major Ads business areas as well as global teams that work across the business areas. Team members are analytical and strategic, with a pragmatic sense of how to get things done.

Responsibilities

  • Work with executive leadership to define, launch, and drive tactical initiatives.
  • Define project scope, key focus areas, analysis needed to uncover opportunities and drive stakeholder alignment and consensus to deliver business impact.
  • Work with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver on project priorities, drive alignment and enable decision making.
  • Communicate findings to executive leadership in the shape of executive-ready presentations and thoughtful facilitation of topics across functional teams.
