Job Description

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you'll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You'll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate with cross-functional partners. Responsibilities include software development and project management, cross-functional coordination, and communication to deliver program outcomes. You'll collaborate with Software Engineers, QA, Product Managers, and other engineering teams to deliver high-quality products. You'll manage project schedules, identify issues, and communicate them to stakeholders, taking responsibility for release schedules and milestones in a fast-paced environment. You'll lead technical programs for Google Cloud, setting priorities, leading cross-functional teams to market, and ensuring success metrics inform future efforts. Requires experience in program management, cloud computing, and Kubernetes.

Job Details


Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in program management.
  • 5 years of experience in cloud computing emerging technologies or related technical fields.
  • Experience with Kubernetes.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master’s degree, PhD, or equivalent experience in Engineering, Computer Science, or other technical related field.
  • 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Experience working across a distributed and integrated team composed of both technical and non-technical members.
  • Experience in SQL and scripting.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $156,000-$229,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Provide software development and project management, cross-functional coordination, and communicate to deliver outstanding program outcomes.
  • Work with Software Engineers, QA, Product Managers and other engineering teams to get high-quality products and features through the software project lifecycle (e.g., build, test, and release on time).
  • Manage project schedules, identify possible issues, and communicate them to project stakeholders.
  • Take responsibility for release schedules and milestones, and keep up in a fast-paced environment.
  • Lead several technical programs for the Google Cloud Business, set priorities for products and engineering, lead cross-functional teams to take products to market, and ensure success metrics are informing future efforts.
