Job Description

As a UX Designer at Google Cloud Consulting, you'll play a key role in understanding customer needs and shaping the future of businesses using technology. You will design user interfaces and curate design systems for development tools used to build, scale, and grow web and mobile applications. This involves collaborating with cross-functional teams (customers, innovation teams, product managers, and engineers) to create user-friendly interfaces. Responsibilities include creating wireframes, mockups, prototypes, and specifications; developing interaction patterns and framework components; and collaborating with stakeholders to define, test, and launch features. You'll need to take input and feedback from various sources and participate in design reviews. The goal is to create intuitive, accessible, and easy-to-use designs for a global user base.

Must have:

4+ years interaction design experience
Experience with design tools (e.g., Figma)
Create wireframes, mockups, prototypes
Collaborate with cross-functional teams
User-centered design process

Good to have:

Master's degree in related field
5+ years experience designing user-facing products
Experience with Google products and Material Design
Knowledge of user-centered design principles
Experience working in cross-functional organization

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
4 years of interaction design experience in product design or UX design.
Experience in a variety of design tools (e.g., Figma).
Include a portfolio, website, or any other link to your work in your resume (providing a viewable link or access instructions).

Preferred qualifications:

Master's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
5 years of experience designing for user facing products.
2 years of experience working in a cross-functional organization.
Experience with Google products and the Material design system.
Knowledge of user-centered design principles.

You will be responsible for designing user interfaces and curating design systems for a suite of development tools for building, scaling, and growing web and mobile software applications working with the cross-functional team of customers, innovation team, product managers, and engineers to understand the needs and create user-friendly interfaces that meet those needs.

Responsibilities

Create detailed wireframes, mockups, prototypes, and specifications following a user-centered process to communicate product goals and design solutions.
Develop interaction patterns, define framework components, and apply visual styles consistent with design systems and the Google/Customer brand.
Collaborate with product management, customers, innovation team, engineering, and user research to define, test, and launch features that maximize end user, developer, and business value and impact.
Take input, requirements, and feedback from multiple stakeholders across different cross-functional organizations, and participate in regular design reviews.
