Description:

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Cyber Practice division at Marsh. This role will be based in Kuala Lumpur. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

You can expect to be part of a diligent division where you will enhance your cyber expertise and data-driven insights to help clients build cyber resilience through a comprehensive approach. There will be opportunities to collaborate with diverse colleagues and stakeholders across various lines of business within Marsh McLennan.

We will count on you to:

  • Develop and implement strategies for growth and client retention.
  • Collaborate with Marsh Malaysia and Asia leadership to establish a Cyber Risk Center of Excellence.
  • Drive business development through RFPs, account penetration, and client prospecting.
  • Work with insurers and reinsurers to enhance the Malaysia Cyber Insurance market, increasing capacity and coverage.
  • Build and promote the Marsh cyber brand through public speaking, client engagement, and media interactions.
  • Contribute to broader Marsh strategic initiatives and collaborate with other Specialty Practices.
  • Partner with the Marsh Cyber Risk Consulting Practice to deliver comprehensive solutions to clients.
  • Coordinate with the Claims Advocacy function to ensure exceptional service for clients facing insured cyber events.
  • Collaborate with regional and global cyber leadership to provide the best resources to clients in Malaysia.
  • Utilize Marsh’s leading digital tools to improve client outcomes and experiences.
  • Participate in the annual budget and forecasting process with finance.
  • Create and distribute cyber-related content for internal and external audiences.
  • Address market issues for brokers and clients, and resolve service issues reported by clients.

  • Advanced understanding of the insurance industry.
  • Commercially savvy with the ability to develop a financial plan under the guidance of Marsh Malaysia Specialty Leadership.
  • Confident presenter, capable of engaging both small and large audiences.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Collaborative mindset focused on achieving success.

  • Over ten years of experience in the cyber market or a similar specialist insurance line.
  • Background in Cyber & Technology insurance and / or Cyber & Technology Risk.
  • Proven track record in leading successful teams, managing talent, and fostering a culture of feedback and idea sharing.
  • Strong relationships with underwriters and a positive reputation in the insurance market.
  • Demonstrated excellence in client service and growth-driven results.
  • Understanding of insurer profitability, market cycles, and the global reinsurance market.
