The Workplace Specialist at Netflix's new Media Space will support the launch and ongoing operations of a state-of-the-art content capture hub. Responsibilities include facilitating events (photoshoots, press junkets, premieres), managing vendor relationships, coordinating communications, collaborating with internal teams (Safety & Security, Design & Construction, etc.), delivering exceptional customer service, and driving continuous improvement. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of experience in talent-facing hospitality or facility management, strong communication and organizational skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. This role requires on-site presence in Los Angeles and flexibility with hours, including weekends.

About the Opportunity:

Set to open in early 2025, the Netflix Media Space is a groundbreaking, multi-use content capture hub located within our Netflix on Vine (NOV) campus. Designed to support a wide range of Marketing and Communications campaigns, this state-of-the-art facility features 5,000 square feet of photo and video production studios, dedicated press junket rooms, full-service talent holding suites, and much more.

We are seeking a dynamic, driven, and resourceful Workplace Specialist to join our Los Angeles Workplace team in supporting the Netflix Media Space. This role is ideal for someone passionate about delivering exceptional experiences, solving operational challenges, and contributing to the success of diverse events and productions. The perfect candidate has experience in hospitality or venue management, a guest-focused approach, expertise in vendor management, and thrives in a flexible, fast-paced environment. This role is essential to the successful launch, ongoing operations, and growth of the Media Space, ensuring it becomes a cornerstone for innovation and excellence in content creation.

Responsibilities:

  • Event Support: Facilitate and execute a wide array of events, including photoshoots, press junkets, and red carpet premieres, with full-scale hospitality services to ensure seamless operations and a 5-star guest experience.

  • Partnerships: Work closely with teams like Events & Regional Publicity, Photo AV Studio, and Social to support high-impact initiatives.

  • Communication Management: Coordinate and disseminate site-specific communications, including updates on construction, relocations, and other campus changes.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with internal teams such as Safety & Security, Design & Construction, Moves, Adds, Changes (MAC), Food & Beverage, Venue Management, and Technology.

  • Deliver World-Class Service: Set the standard for exceptional customer service for colleagues, vendors, talent, and guests.

  • Collaborative Leadership: Partner with the NOV Workplace team to align campus operations with the specific needs of the NOV Media Space. Assist the Workplace Manager with day-to-day operations, vendor relationships, and first-day-of-business (FDOB) efforts.

  • Drive Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement innovative solutions to enhance workflows, streamline operations, and advance the business.

  • Project Management: Lead multiple projects, leveraging data and feedback to make informed, impactful decisions.

  • Operational Excellence: Maintain and refine Media Space playbooks and workflows to ensure seamless operations.

  • Team Development: Participate in recruiting, onboarding, and training new team members and vendors.

  • Enterprise Initiatives: Support broader Netflix initiatives, such as Inclusion & Diversity (I&D) and sustainability efforts.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 3+ years in talent-facing hospitality roles, facility management experience required. Strong understanding of food and beverage service operations preferred.

  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the entertainment industry and its unique demands.

  • Skill Set: Exceptional organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proactive Approach: Hands-on, with a willingness to roll up your sleeves and take initiative.

  • Strategic Thinking: Strong decision-making skills, with the ability to anticipate and address stakeholder needs proactively.

  • Independence: Self-motivated and capable of working with minimal supervision.

  • Judgment: Ability to discern when workflows need adjustment to meet business needs.

  • Discretion: Experienced in managing confidential events with the utmost professionalism.

  • Location & Availability: This is a full-time, on-site role based in Los Angeles, CA. Candidates must be available to work in person at our Netflix on Vine campus and comfortable working flexible hours, including early morning/late evenings and weekends, as needed. 

  • Role-specific needs: Candidates should be comfortable being on their feet for extended periods, moving and setting up equipment, and lifting up to 50 lbs as needed to support events and daily operations.

Our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $50,000 - $190,000.

Netflix provides comprehensive benefits including Health Plans, Mental Health support, a 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer match, Stock Option Program, Disability Programs, Health Savings and Flexible Spending Accounts, Family-forming benefits, and Life and Serious Injury Benefits. We also offer paid leave of absence programs.  Full-time hourly employees accrue 35 days annually for paid time off to be used for vacation, holidays, and sick paid time off.
