Senior ManagerJob Description & Summary
The IT Senior Manager will be responsible for managing and implementing the program vision and delivery of the following components within the territory and regional work streams, including but not limited to communication network, server, telephony, and other software applications. The role will equally be accountable for technology-related projects and engagement with key stakeholders ensuring that project plans are effectively delivered into solutions, milestone outputs and that programme benefits are communicated and realized. The role will likewise take the lead in the enhancement of the Center’s IT infrastructure – create and review existing processes, resources and systems - resulting in operational changes achieved in the most effective and efficient way.
Key Responsibilities:
IT Service Management
Ensure high availability network infrastructure to provide maximum performance to the Center
Establish the networking environment by designing system configuration, directing system installation, defining, documenting and enforcing system standards
Maximize network performance by monitoring performance, managing network problems and outages, scheduling upgrades and collaborating with network architects on network optimisation
Undertake data network fault investigations in local and global wide area network environments, using information from multiple sources
Secure network systems by establishing and enforcing policies, and defining and monitoring access
Report network operational status by gathering and prioritizing information and managing projects
Upgrade data network equipment to the latest stable firmware releases and optimize the network capabilities at the most effective way
Capacity management and audit of IP addressing and hosted devices within data centers
Liaise with project teams, regional and service desk engineers on a regular basis
Continual Service Improvement
Design and implementation of new solutions and improving resilience of the current technology environment
Working together with the IT Manager, develop overall IT service management strategy and budget
Lead and manage large and complex IT projects, collaborating closely with other technical team and Business partners – ensure proper project monitoring to deliver on time and within budget
Ensure the team stays motivated, helps resolve conflicts and able to make timely decisions as needed to keep the project on-track
Essential Requirements:
Minimum 15 years of experience in an IT function
Strong knowledge on the following:
Network performance tuning
LAN, WAN, GWAN, VoIP
Servers - File Server, Application Server, UAT Server, Security Server (Domino, Domain Controller), Common Drive Server, and Communication Server
Network design and implementation
HP, Cisco and Palo Alto products
Project Management
Cloud services
Annual budgeting
Strong communication skills in English (day to-day work would be in English)
Ability to manage a 20-member team
Other Capabilities:
Ability to understand complex business scenarios and offer effective solutions, including negotiation
Be able to demonstrate resilience and manage conflicts positively
Be flexible and adaptable to change as the Company may require, from time to time, for you to attend to tasks - other than those described above but within your capabilities and skill sets, to meet the reasonable needs of the business.
Excellent understanding of customer service with a strong sense of customer focus
Experience in developing and managing detailed project plans
Able to clearly articulate technical concepts to IT and Business people
Proficiency in Windows 7, MS Office, and Google Tools
Experience with Lotus Notes is desirable
Experience in video conferencing, IOS and Android devices will be looked upon highly
Self-starter who is able to work independently and flexible to work outside office hours, if required
Applies commercial and technical expertise by staying up to date in industry standard
Comfortable in a rapidly changing environment and able to manage tasks simultaneously
