Job Summary

Job Description

As an Account Executive at Google Cloud, you'll focus on small and medium businesses in Japan. Responsibilities include managing sales opportunities from start to finish, working with cross-functional teams, and being the primary customer contact. You'll drive business development, meet sales goals, and provide exceptional customer service. Collaboration with Customer Engineers and Google Cloud Partners is key. This role requires fluent Japanese and English communication skills. You'll need to understand sales, technology, and strategy, and be able to showcase how Google Cloud solutions improve productivity, mobility, and collaboration for clients. You'll also contribute ideas to improve products and enhance the customer experience.
Must have:
  • 4+ years in sales, client relations, or account management
  • New business acquisition experience in Cloud (SaaS, PaaS, IaaS)
  • Fluent Japanese and English communication
  • Manage sales cycle, customer relationships
  • Achieve sales goals, provide excellent customer experience
Good to have:
  • Experience transitioning businesses from on-premise to cloud
  • Technical or sales background in Cloud/Technology
  • Knowledge of Google Cloud products (Workspace, GCP)
  • CRM experience (Salesforce)
  • Channel partner collaboration experience

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience in one or more of the following: sales, client relationship, or account management.
  • Experience in new business acquisition, including in the Cloud, SaaS, Paas, or IaaS industry.
  • Ability to communicate in Japanese and English fluently as this is a customer-facing role that requires interactions in Japanese and English with local stakeholders.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience promoting solutions to help businesses transition from on-premise to the cloud.
  • Experience in technical or sales in Cloud, Technology, Computer Science or Information Systems.
  • Experience in technology and cloud computing market, and a passion for Google Cloud products (e.g., Google Workspace, Google Cloud Platform, etc.).
  • Experience using CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, etc.).
  • Experience collaborating/co-promoting with channel partners in the market.

You will communicate with customers and partners, discussing and advocating for the value of Google Cloud solutions. You will collaborate with many customers and partners everyday, and have ideas to improve our product or enhance the customer experience.

Responsibilities

  • Manage opportunities through the entire cycle, working with cross-functional teams as necessary, and serve as the primary customer contact for all adoption-related activities.
  • Deliver assigned goals while prioritizing an outstanding customer experience to customers and prospects.
  • Drive business development, forecast, and achieve goals by leading customers through the entire business cycle.
  • Work with Customer Engineers and trusted Google Cloud Partners as a critical member of the Sales team to grow opportunities with small and medium businesses.
  • Engage and implement regional strategy to support the growth goals.
