Job Description

As a Tableau Specialist for Nonprofits, focusing on the United Nations, you'll develop opportunities worldwide, building key stakeholder relationships and driving customer satisfaction. Responsibilities include executing account and territory plans, managing the sales cycle (prospecting to closing), collaborating with cross-functional teams, delivering product demos, maintaining accurate forecasting, and staying updated on industry trends. You'll focus on winning new logos and expanding Tableau within existing Salesforce accounts, developing long-term strategic client relationships. This role requires at least 3-4 years of enterprise software sales experience, preferably SaaS, with a proven track record of managing complex sales cycles and C-level engagement. Nonprofit experience and fluency in English are essential.

About the Team
Salesforce for Nonprofits is the social impact center of Salesforce, dedicated to empowering change-makers and nonprofit organizations with innovative technology to scale their impact. Tableau, a Salesforce company, is the leading platform for data visualization and analytics, making it easier for organizations to explore data and derive actionable insights. As part of this team, you’ll be selling Tableau’s powerful solutions to nonprofits, enabling them to make data-driven decisions to further their mission.


The Role
As a Tableau Specialist for Nonprofits, you will engage with customers and prospects across EMEA with specific focus on the United Nations to sell the Tableau Analytics platform. You will work closely with Core Account teams to create synergies and align efforts to increase adoption and success across accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop opportunities, through prospecting, within the United Nations and its subsidiaries worldwide.

  • Develop key customer stakeholder relationships and drive customer satisfaction at assigned accounts.

  • Develop deep relationships with key stakeholders at various levels of the organization, including C-suite executives, program directors, and operations teams.

  • Execute account and territory plans, identifying new opportunities and aligning the Tableau solution with the specific needs of nonprofit organizations.

  • Manage the sales cycle, from prospecting and lead generation to closing deals, with a focus on providing exceptional customer service throughout.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, especially the Core AE teams, Product Support, Sales Engineering, and Customer Success, to ensure a seamless customer experience and successful implementation of Tableau solutions.

  • Deliver product demonstrations and collaborate with the Sales Engineering team for more in-depth presentations.

  • Maintain accurate forecasting and pipeline management using Salesforce.com.

  • Stay engaged with industry trends and Tableau's solution development to effectively communicate the value of the platform to nonprofit customers.

  • Focus on winning new logos while also expanding Tableau within existing Salesforce accounts.

  • Develop long-term strategic relationships with clients, ensuring their continued success and satisfaction.

  • Travel up to 25% and as necessary to build relationships and support sales activities.


Who You Are:

  • Experienced Seller: You have at least 3-4 years of experience in field-based enterprise software sales, preferably within the SaaS environment, and a proven track record of managing complex sales cycles with C-level engagement. Experience in selling Analytics and to Nonprofits or within the Public Sector is a plus.

  • Nonprofit Passion: Experience working with or selling into nonprofit organizations is a significant plus. You understand the unique challenges and opportunities faced by nonprofits and are driven by a desire to support their missions.

  • Relationship Builder: You excel at building and nurturing relationships with key stakeholders at all levels of an organization. Your communication skills are exceptional, allowing you to influence and engage decision-makers across various lines of business.

  • Results-Oriented: You have a history of meeting and exceeding sales targets, and you thrive in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.

  • Strategic Thinker: You know how to plan and execute territory and account strategies, balancing short-term wins with long-term growth.

  • Innovator: You are a creative problem-solver who can think outside the box to offer solutions that align with the unique needs of nonprofit organizations.

  • Self-Starter: You are highly motivated, resourceful, and capable of working independently to build and grow your territory.

  • Collaborative: You work well in a team environment, collaborating with both internal teams and external customers to deliver success.

  • Passionate: You believe in the power of data to transform organizations and are excited about helping nonprofits leverage Tableau to achieve their missions.

  • Fluency in English is required, additional language is a plus.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven experience selling SaaS or enterprise software solutions, with a preference for experience in the nonprofit sector.

  • Public Sector, NGO or experience working with the United Nations is a strong plus

  • A successful track record of driving new business and managing key customer relationships.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with experience delivering demos and engaging C-level executives.

  • Ability to manage multiple opportunities through the pipeline, from discovery to close, while consistently meeting sales goals.

  • Experience working in a cross-functional sales environment, collaborating with technical teams and product experts.
