Job Description

The Alias Modeler will be responsible for creating precise Class A Surface data for exterior and interior models using Alias. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams, enhance the modeling process, and demonstrate creativity in overcoming design challenges. The role requires independent work within a collaborative team environment. The ideal candidate should have a strong portfolio showcasing Class A Surface models and a deep understanding of Alias applications. They will also need to be proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and have knowledge of Sketcher, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Maya. The individual should be capable of creating production math models and have expertise in rapid prototyping.
Must have:
  • Proven experience as an Alias CAS Modeler with a portfolio.
  • Proficiency in Alias and understanding its applications in design modeling.
  • Intermediate knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong ability to create production math models using high tolerance specifications.
Good to have:
  • Knowledge in Sketcher, Photoshop, Illustrator, Maya
  • Strong expertise in rapid prototyping

What You'll Do:

  • Develop precise Class A Surface data for scale and full-size exterior and interior models using Alias.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with design objectives.
  • Contribute to the enhancement of the modeling process by utilizing Alias and staying abreast of industry trends.
  • Demonstrate a high level of creativity and problem-solving skills in overcoming design challenges.
  • Work independently, exercising autonomy in decision-making, while fostering a collaborative team environment.

Power Skills You'll Bring:

  • Proven experience as an Alias CAS Modeler with a portfolio showcasing Class A Surface models.
  • Proficiency in Alias and a comprehensive understanding of its applications in design modeling.
  • Intermediate knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge in Sketcher, Photoshop, Illustrator, Maya
  • Strong creative aptitude with a keen eye for aesthetics and attention to detail.
  • Strong ability to create production math models (i.e. die pulls, draft angles, stitching, part breakups, etc.) using high tolerance specifications.
  • Strong expertise in rapid prototyping 

Qualifications That Will Set You Apart:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with a major in Industrial Design or equivalent experience
  • 8-12 years of experience
