Maersk is seeking a dynamic and results-driven professional to lead our Finance Transformation initiatives across the Area. In this role you will be responsible for enhancing financial systems, driving process improvements, and ensuring the standardization of finance operations in alignment with local compliance and global standards. This is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact, working on high-priority projects such as business implementations, and the roll-out of new finance platforms, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver successful outcomes.
Key responsibilities:
- Support new business implementations, including the establishment of new entities in compliance with local regulations and requirements
- Support Merger & Acquisition (M&A) integration projects, ensuring alignment with Maersk’s standard processes and organizational setup
- Serve as the key point of contact for Finance & Tax Platform (NFTP) implementations across the Area, ensuring successful deployment and integration
- Collaborate with Business Change Owners (BCO) to ensure all financial aspects of business platform implementations are completed and rolled out within the local finance organization according to project plans
- Assess training and testing needs, coordinating comprehensive schedules for training and system testing as part of go-live preparations
- Drive, support, and coordinate Finance for the Future (FFF) activities end-to-end, managing stakeholders
- Provide timely and relevant updates to the Area Leadership Team on the progress of transformation projects
- Ensure key financial controls, such as Receivables, Payables, and Risk and Internal Control Compliance (RICC), are maintained post-implementation
- Safeguard working capital by managing vendor and customer payment cycles, ensuring they are not disrupted by solution requirements
- Provide training and ongoing support to ensure seamless transitions during and after project implementations
Who we are looking for:
- Master’s degree in Finance or a related field.
- Minimum 8+ years of business experience, ideally in finance transformation, project management, or similar roles
- Strong experience with ERP systems and financial systems implementation
- Proven track record in leading business improvement projects and influencing key decision-making processes
- Results-driven with strong analytical and logical reasoning skills
- Highly organized, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at various levels
- High level of integrity and professionalism, with a commitment to upholding Maersk’s values
