Passion Gaming Private Limited is seeking an experienced Back End Engineer with 3+ years of NodeJS expertise. The role involves designing and developing large-scale distributed services for their game platform, implementing new user-facing features, and improving system efficiency, scalability, stability, and security. Responsibilities include taking ownership of platform components, driving innovation, collaborating with product and design teams, managing project deadlines, and participating in engineer recruitment. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in computer science, data structures, algorithms, and software design; solid understanding of Socket.io, Redis, RPC, RDBMS, and NoSQL databases; and experience with IaaS clouds like AWS, GCP, or Azure. Experience with other programming languages and startup environments is a plus.
Must have:
- 3+ years NodeJS experience
- Solid understanding of data structures and algorithms
- Expertise in Socket.io, Redis & RPC
- Experience with RDBMS and NoSQL databases
- Understanding of distributed systems and scalability
Good to have:
- Experience with other programming languages
- Startup environment experience

Job Details
We are looking for an experienced software engineer to join the BackEnd team. The BackEnd team is responsible for building and managing large distributed components that run the game. This team handles everything that is related to the core of game logic. We are looking for engineers who are passionate about solving complex problems and building game platforms, keeping in mind scalability, efficiency, and accuracy.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop large scale distributed services
- Design and implement new user-facing features
- Take ownership of one or more components of the platform and drive innovation
- Improve the efficiency, scalability, stability, and security of the system
- Work closely with product management and design teams to define and refine feature specifications
- Manage individual projects’ priorities, deadlines, and deliverables
- Participate actively in the recruitment and nurturing of other engineers as awesome as you
Requirements
Education and Experience Required
- 3+ years of experience with a solid foundation in computer science and strong competency in data structures, algorithms, and software design
- NodeJS expert
- Solid understanding of Socket.io, Redis & RPC
- Good knowledge of one or more RDBMS and NoSQL databases
- Good understanding of nuances of distributed systems, scalability, and availability
- In-depth understanding of concurrency, synchronization, & memory usage
- Experience with IaaS clouds like AWS, GCP, Azure, etc
- Experience with other programming languages is a plus
- Experience in a startup environment is a plus
- Excellent communication skills. Putting your thoughts through to other stakeholders in a cohesive manner should not be a problem for you.
