Job Description

Gamemode One seeks a Bedrock Programmer for a Winter 2025 co-op (1 term, potential extension) open to Acadia and Dalhousie University students. This role involves using typed programming languages to develop clean, scalable features for their next Minecraft IP. Collaboration with art and VFX teams to implement functionality, maintaining version control and PR workflows, optimizing and debugging systems, and contributing to agile development are key responsibilities. The position offers the chance to provide feedback, influence product development, and contribute to Gamemode One's engineering advancements.

Must have:

Please Note: This opportunity is only available for those attending Acadia and Dalhousie University and pursing a Winter 2025 co-op. This is a 1 term co-op with the possibility of extension.

The Opportunity

In our growing organization, you'll bring your knowledge of typed programming languages to craft clean and scalable features for our next IP experience in Minecraft! You'll collaborate with the art and VFX team to bring functionality to their assets. You’ll also support in maintaining our versioning and PR workflow, as well as optimizing and debugging our systems.

During this role you will learn how to work in an agile environment with a dynamic development team. You’ll provide feedback to the greater project - helping the team develop the next great product in our portfolio! You will not just be working at a great company, but actively pushing forward engineering at Gamemode One.
