Job Description

This Business Analyst role focuses on providing end-to-end development solutions for a major investment banking product within the Payment Settlement stream. The position requires scaling up the latest technology stack using cloud-based services. Responsibilities include creating test packs for Corporate Functions/Post Trade/Custody/Settlements, validating acceptance criteria, coordinating with various teams, managing defects, documenting test results, managing requirements, performing gap analysis, and ensuring the smooth functioning of the software development lifecycle. The ideal candidate will possess strong understanding of capital markets, financial products, and the trade lifecycle. Experience with requirement specifications and UAT is crucial.

Must have:

8+ years overall experience, 6+ years as BA in Financial Services
BA experience in IT within Finance domain
Knowledge of Capital Markets, Financial Products, and Terminologies
Understanding of Trade Life Cycle and Software Development Lifecycle
Excellent communication, documentation, and analytical skills
Requirement specifications & UAT experience
Strong generalist regulatory experience in financial services

Good to have:

Technical understanding of Databases, Bitbucket, Git
Understanding of CI/CD Pipelines (Jenkins/Git/Github/Github Actions)

Project description

Provide End to End Development solutions to one of the largest investment banking products by scaling up the latest technology stack by adopting the cloud-based services under the Payment Settlement stream.

Responsibilities

Creation of a Test pack, which would be relevant to Corporate Functions/Post Trade/Custody/Settlements.

Validation of Acceptance Criteria and coordinating with Business and other teams.

Defect management

Result of the executed Test cases [ Pass, Fail ]

Requirement management & GAP analysis.

Skills

Must have

8 years of overall experience with Project Experience of 6+ years as a Business Analyst in Financial Services Projects

Experience as a Business Analyst in the IT industry in the Finance domain

Knowledge of Capital Market activities, Financial Products, and Financial Terminologies is a must

Understanding of the Trade Life Cycle

Thorough understanding of the complete Software Development Lifecycle

Self-motivated, good interpersonal skills, and inclination to constantly upgrade on new technologies and frameworks

Good communication, good interpersonal skills and coordination activities, self-motivated, and inclination to constantly upgrade on new developments in the industry

Ability to understand business requirements easily and translate them into functional requirements

Capability to understand and analyze complex IT applications and financial product structures

Excellent documentation ability

Have experience in preparing requirement specifications and performing UAT

Strong generalist regulatory experience from within the financial services industry

Nice to have

Technical understanding of Database, and development environments like Bitbucket, Git

Understanding of CI/CD Pipelines through Jenkins/Git/Github/Github Actions
