About the job

Who We Are Looking For

As a Lead - DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the DevOps team, designing and implementing scalable and efficient infrastructure, and ensuring the smooth deployment and operation of our applications. You will work closely with development, QA, and operations teams to streamline our CI/CD processes and enhance our overall system reliability and performance. You will focus on automation and enhancing developer and operations experience.

What You’ll Be Doing As A Part of Our Team

Lead and mentor the DevOps team in India, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance and professional growth.

Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate the build, test, and deployment processes.

Collaborate with development and QA teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of applications.

Monitor and optimize system performance, reliability, and security.

Implement and maintain configuration management and infrastructure as code (IaC) practices.

Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and application issues in a timely manner.

Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in DevOps and cloud technologies.

What You Should Have To Qualify

A minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience in technical teams focusing on software development and/or systems engineering; candidates with a development background are preferred.

At least 4 years of experience with Amazon Web Services, including automated code deployment tools.

Proficiency in CI/CD and GitLab on Linux systems, with expertise in pipeline and branching strategies.

Strong experience with DevOps methodologies and tools, including Kubernetes, EKS, Helm charts, Flux, ingress and egress configurations, IAM, and queuing.

Strong practice of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and configuration management using tools like Terraform, Puppet, Ansible, or similar.

Proven track record in building, maintaining, and deploying Docker containers in a Kubernetes or EKS environment.

Robust system and deployment debugging skills with significant experience in deploying and maintaining on AWS or other cloud infrastructures.

Proficiency in scripting languages (Bash, Python, or PHP preferred).

Solid experience in implementing and managing test automation.

Strong application development experience (MEAN, LAMP, etc.).

Must be willing to work India afternoon/EMEA business hours to ensure overlap with US business hours.

Participate in the weekly on-call rotation.

Support project maintenance work scheduled over weekends when required.

Ideally, You Would Also Have These

Familiarity with observability tools (Prometheus, Cortex, Dynatrace, etc.) and alerting mechanisms.
