Overall Purpose of The Job
Responsible for providing day to day support to the Seafarer Centre or Crew Management Centre office by ensuring that seafarer queries are attended to in a professional and timely manner.
Key Responsibilities And Tasks
- Responsible for providing day to day support to the Seafarer Centre or Crew Management Centre office by ensuring that seafarer queries are attended to in a professional and timely manner.
- Provide necessary support for seafarers on mobilisation and recruitment procedures and documentation, and liaise with crew cell or recruitment teams in CMC as necessary.
- Acquires a thorough understanding of seafarers’ needs and requirements.
- Ensures a positive experience for seafarers when they contact or come to the seafarer centre or the crew management centre.
- Provides support to seafarers in navigating the seafarer app, setting up video conference interviews, and other digitally enabled tools.
- Ensures that the correct advice or guidance is delivered to seafarers in a timely manner.
- Be a focal point to allocated seafarer pool, record and report issues and problems faced by seafarers as it relates to the seafarer centre services, and manage complaints in order to maintain the trust of seafarers towards V.Ships.
- Handles processing of legal documents for crew claims in cases where processing cannot be performed in the Crew Support Center.
- Prepare regular reports of progress to internal and external stakeholders as appropriate.
- Serve as local crew liaison for regular vessel visits, as assigned
- Facilitate and support meetings and events organized by Crew Management, as needed.
- Facilitates Seafarer mobilization including but not limited co-ordination/supporting Visa applications, trainings, signed contract in non-CMC locations
- Performs required actions to ensure compliance to all local regulatory requirements for seafarers under the Seafarer Center (SFC).
- Act as a first point of contact for seafarer matters when they contact or come to the seafarer centre or crew management centre.
- Liaise with other V.Ships team members in relation to more complex cases.
