Toppan Merrill is seeking a Client Services Specialist for their New York team, operating remotely. The role involves converting documents into EDGAR-compliant HTML format for SEC filings and editing documents based on client markups. Responsibilities include accurately processing edits, communicating with clients about filing errors, managing client relationships, and ensuring SEC compliance. The specialist will work closely with management to prioritize tasks and maintain workflow. This position requires exceptional communication skills to clearly convey SEC compliance requirements and filing deadlines to customers.

About the Opportunity:

Toppan Merrill has an exciting opportunity for a Client Services Specialist to join our growing New York team as a Remote team member.   You will convert documents from various formats to EDGAR-compliant format (HTML), as well as edits documents per client markups or tracked-change Word documents.

Shift: 5:30pm – 2:30am ET Monday – Friday

Job Responsibilities:

  • Converting and editing Word, Excel, PPT and PDF documents to EDGAR compliant format (SEC acceptable HTML format) for filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
  • Process edits to documents accurately and in a timely manner, minimizing errors.
  • Contact clients concerning possible errors in filing, such as incorrect dates, missing signatures, missing exhibits, insufficient funds in SEC account, etc.
  • Work closely with Manager to determine priorities and workflow.
  • Client relationship management to effectively communicate SEC compliance requirements and filing deadlines.
  • Possess exceptional communication skills with the ability to state messages in a clear, understandable manner for customers.
  • Proactively reach out to customers and effectively address any needs that arise.

About You:

  • Bachelor’s degree Preferred but not required
  • Microsoft Office programs
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel, Word, and PPT
  • Experience with GoFiler software preferred
  • Familiarity with Adobe products (Acrobat, Photoshop)
  • Strong keyboard/typing skills required
  • SEC compliance (form-type) and XBRL knowledge a plus
