Job Description
As a Customer Engineering Manager, AI, at Google Cloud, you'll lead a team engaging with business prospects, named accounts, and channel partners. You'll present Google Cloud technologies, address technical objections, drive solution innovation, and manage engineering professionals. Responsibilities include fostering customer partnerships, defining technical go-to-market strategies, leading technical initiatives, and working cross-functionally to resolve technical roadblocks. You'll need to build a growing team culture focused on talent strategy and skills development to achieve successful cloud transformation outcomes for customers. Fluency in English and Korean is essential for this customer-facing role.
Must have:
- 10+ years cloud native architecture experience
- Leadership experience (people management)
- Fluent in English and Korean
- Bachelor's degree in CS or related field
Good to have:
- Big data and ML framework experience (TensorFlow, PyTorch)
- Pre-Sales or technical people management experience
- Experience with scalable, distributed systems
- Experience presenting to technical stakeholders and executives

Job Details
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field or equivalent practical experience.
- 10 years of experience with cloud native architecture in a customer-facing or support role.
- Experience in Leadership, such as people management, team lead, mentorship, or coaching.
- Ability to communicate in English and Korean fluently as this is a customer-facing role that requires interactions in English and Korean with local stakeholders.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience managing a team through business processes, operations and career development, including account mapping, goal setting, quarterly/annual performance management, and managing sensitive information.
- Experience with big data and machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn.
- Experience as a Pre-Sales Manager or a people manager in a technical customer-facing role within a professional services or Sales Engineering team.
- Experience with architecting and developing software for scalable, distributed systems, including data platform, Artificial Intelligence AI/ML and infrastructure.
- Experience engaging with, and presenting to, technical stakeholders and executive leaders both verbally and in report writing.

Responsibilities
- Lead a team of Customer Engineers and build an growing culture. Focus on talent strategy and skills development to deliver on successful cloud transformation outcomes for our customers and accelerate business goals for the territory.
- Foster partnerships with customers across the book of business. Provide leadership related to cloud, transformation and relevant industry trends.
- Partner with Google Cloud Sales leadership to define technical go-to-market strategies and execution plan for the team's book of business.
- Lead technical initiatives, balancing operational excellence with goals. Facilitate workload and opportunity reviews, providing insights into technical agreements and migration strategies.
- Work cross-functionally across Google, our partners, and your team to resolve technical roadblocks including capacity needs, constraints and product issues affecting customer satisfaction.
