About the Role & Team :

Disney+ is one of the leading premium video streaming services in the world. It is the dedicated home for streaming movies and shows from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic, and more.  It is available on most internet-connected devices and offers a variety of original feature-length films, documentaries, live-action and animated series and short-form content. Alongside unprecedented access to Disney’s incredible library of film and television entertainment, the service is also the exclusive streaming home for the latest releases from The Walt Disney Studios.

Our Disney+ North Asia team is responsible for the launch and day-to-day operation of the service across Japan, China, Korea, Hong Kong and Taiwan specifically focused on customer acquisition and retention, marketing, partnerships, content programming, research and analytics.

The Associate Manager, Creative Strategy Marketing is responsible for brand and content marketing initiatives for Disney+. This individual primarily focuses on the marketing creative strategy for ‘Independent’ titles provided by the Disney+ content team while also collaborating with the marketing and content teams of Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic, and STAR.

The Associate Manager, Creative Marketing produces and oversees campaigns across titles and brand initiatives, working closely with the Director of Marketing.

What You Will Do:

  • Establish and execute creative strategies for marketing campaigns, specifically in the development of static, AV, and OOH creative assets. Develop creative briefs and oversee the process to ensure that the campaign’s messaging is effectively delivered to customers, while managing the production of high-quality static and AV assets that are locally relevant and adaptable across borders with consistent messaging.
  • Manage Creative Strategy in briefing and creative directing campaign assets for print, AV, and product/platform needs for local contents and brand campaigns. Understand creative trends and ensures that all Disney+ and/or bundle marketing efforts feel premium, engaging, and appropriate for the Disney+ and/or bundle audience.
  • Conceive, create, and prepare presentations to share ideas and concepts to management and partners across brands and stakeholders at TWDC.
  • Establish workflow, manage, and oversee the AV production process for paid media and synergy campaigns– working closely with Disney+ marketing team and agencies to digest robust plans and ensure deliverables and assets are created to spec and delivered accurately, on-deadline.
  • Contribute and manage all creative areas within DTC(Direct-to-Consumer) business, including In-service creative, Title Treatment, Title Translations, Copywriting etc.
  • Manage creative assets developed by partner studio teams (TWDC Studios, Nat Geo, ABC, Disney Channel) and work with the Director, Marketing to ensure they all fold into the larger Disney+ brand guidelines in a creatively cohesive manner. Collaborate with those teams and build relationships and trust with partner creative leaders.
  • Manage relationships and projects with creative agencies to execute creative deliverables.
  • Work closely and collaboratively in a matrixed work environment, particularly with the Content Marketing team, APAC Marketing team, Growth Marketing team, Operation team and Production team, to effectively manage stakeholders and ensure creative alignment and the successful delivery of assets and creative materials across Disney+ and TWDC.
  • Navigate through multiple business-focused partner departments to deliver creative results that meet business needs and requirements.

Required Qualifications & Skills: 

  • 5+ years’ extensive experience marketing entertainment properties.
  • Experience in developing and executing creative strategies within a studio, network, or agency environment, with extensive knowledge of the layers and processes behind creative marketing.
  • Experience in developing professional-level creative briefs, effectively managing messaging, and communicating with agencies and stakeholders.
  • Ability to recognize high-quality creative and understand how to make it better.
  • Possesses strong creative point of view and aesthetic to ensure that Disney+ marketing materials are produced at a high level.
  • Experience with advertising production, AV asset creative and key art creative conception.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, make decisions and change course of action quickly
  • Experience working across multiple mediums – print, AV, digital and outdoor.
  • Keen eye for AV materials, and ability to direct development of trailer, digital creative.
  • Business level in written and spoken English
  • Passionate about storytelling, particularly in short form AV or static mediums.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to ensure successful interactions, strong working relationships and the ability to interface with varied levels of management, peers and partners across varying teams.

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Experience in creative work related to persuasive communication. – Communication skills to persuade and coordinate multiple production stakeholders for the best outcomes.
  • Experience in managing trailer productions for contents marketing in Korea.
  • Experience with streaming platform marketing – how a DTC product works, and how to make effective marketing materials to drive engagement and subscriber growth
  • Bachelor’s degree.  Preferably a degree in Media, Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Cinema/Television or related field.
