The role requires strong project management, analytical, and stakeholder management skills to navigate a large organization and foster trusting relationships. This position is key to enhancing SimCorp's strategic position with data vendors.

WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT TO US

We are dedicated to transforming from a traditional enterprise software organization into a technology-enabled services provider while maintaining our history of significant growth. To further support, enable and drive this journey we're expanding our Product Partnerships function and are now recruiting for a Data Vendor Category Manager to join our team. 

SimCorp is both a partner and a customer of a large number of data vendors, and we are looking to both deepen these relationships and to strategically manage our optionality. This role will be central to enhancing our strategic position in order to achieve this. 

The role reports to the Global Head of Product Partnerships and will be part of a small but impactful team working with stakeholders across all parts of the organization. 

WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

  • Manage renewals against policy framework, together with the team and legal counsel 
  • Work with partners and legal counsel to renew, update and consolidate contracts 
  • Help drive process with stakeholders to document present and future requirements
  • Consolidate licensed usage data to produce quarterly reporting to data vendors 
  • Follow up on reporting discrepancies with internal and external stakeholders 
  • Analyze contracts to produce actionable insights for contract negotiations 
  • Track spend development and maintain management information

WHAT WE VALUE

  • +3 years of experience within vendor or contract management, or with a data vendor 
  • Previous experience with financial data vendors is preferred
  • Previous exposure to enterprise software product software development is beneficial 
  • Proficient legal and contract analytical skills with the ability to break down implications and suggest practical compromises for negotiations 
  • Highly self-driven project management, execution, and stakeholder management skills 
  • Proficient numerical analysis, and writing and verbal communication capabilities 
  • Great collaborative skills and ability to maneuver a large organization and form trusting relationships
