Job Description

As a Demand Planner, you will be responsible for ensuring that stock levels align with the overall supply plan for key UK clients. Your responsibilities include managing demand using various tools, providing purchasing recommendations, participating in stock reviews, and addressing immediate requirements. You will build relationships with internal stakeholders, create reports, suggest system improvements, and manage inventory movement. You will also proactively manage out-of-stock and over-stock situations and communicate forecasts. This role requires excellent communication, deadline adherence, and the ability to work towards targets. You will need to manage demand based on channel forecasts, provide purchasing recommendations, and maintain overall stock levels. You will need to deal with immediate bespoke requirements and build relationships with stakeholders.

  • Excellent communication skills, both internal and external
  • Ability to work to deadlines and targets
  • Purchasing / Order Replenishment / Inventory Management / Planning/ Sourcing background desirable
  • Good level of understanding of our customers and key partners
  • PC literate
  • Excellent excel skills
  • Proven ability to create and foster strong working relationships

Position Summary

As a Demand Planner, your primary focus will be ensuring that stock levels are in accordance with the overall supply plan for our key UK clients. The demand planning team are dedicated to ensuring enough stock is available to support the customer requirements.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Plan and manage demand based on channel forecasts utilising various tools/methods.

  • Provide purchasing recommendations in line with agreed vendor lead times.

  • Take part in weekly stock reviews as a team to maintain overall stock levels within demand planning.

  • In addition to forward planning, there will be a requirement to deal with immediate bespoke requirements that require a fast turnaround.

  • Build and maintain relationships with our internal stakeholders working closely with Finance, Sales & Operations teams to ensure that any issues are dealt with promptly and expeditiously to ensure the maximum customer satisfaction.

  • Use Purchase Order reports to identify and professionally manage delayed orders.

  • Create and continuously improve reporting for senior management that clearly shows the results of the Inventory & Demand Planning function against SLAs and budgets.

  • Suggest additions to our systems and tools that will enhance both our profitability and our relationships with our clients and vendors.

  • Proactively own and manage the movement of inventory held at Likewize’s DC to ensure optimum availability, whilst adhering to Likewize’s key performance metrics (including but not limited to DOS, Ageing, Provision) and adhering to specific vendor terms.

  • Proactively own and manage OOS and over-stocks to within Likewize’s key performance metrics, whilst preventing the occurrence of over-ordering by ensuring the purchasing cycle marries up to the sales forecast cycle.

  • Take ownership for driving proactive remedial action to mitigate inventory exposure for Likewize including the identification and resolution of potential future inventory issues, working with internal Sales and the Vendor directly.

  • Ensure all system tools are maintained, particularly to coincide with new product launches and product obsolescence.

  • Frequently liaise with other departments within the business to ensure that product information and potential issues are communicated and dealt with in a professional manner.

  • Communicate expected forecasts to key stakeholders to assist in forward planning (Vendor CPFR).

  • Respect the value of information by following Likewize's data protection / information security policies and procedures.

Requirements

You will need to be an excellent communicator for both our internal and external customers as well as be capable to work to deadlines and targets, you will also have:

  • Desirable background in one or some of the mentioned areas -

  • Purchasing / Order Replenishment / Inventory Management / Planning/ Sourcing.

  • Good level of understanding of our customers and key partners.

  • PC literate

  • Excellent excel skills.

  • Proven ability to create and foster strong working relationships.

  • FMCG experience desirable. Excellent communication skills, both internal and external
