The CSCP Organization is responsible for traditional supply chain functions such as Plan, Source, Make, Deliver, but also manages supportability (spares), decommissioning and disposition of Data center assets worldwide. We deliver the core infrastructure and foundational technologies for Microsoft's over 200 online businesses including Bing, MSN, Office 365, Xbox Live, Skype, OneDrive and the Microsoft Azure platform for external customers. Our infrastructure is comprised of a large global portfolio of more than 200 datacenters supporting services for more than 1 billion customers in over 90 countries worldwide.

We are looking for a Director Sourcing/Supply Management to join our team. Cloud Sourcing, Spares, Sustainability & Security (CS4) organization within CSCP manages sourcing and supply of IT hardware for the data centers. Well-defined and executed sourcing and supply chain management ensures reliable on-time performance, optimized cost, prevents urgent and unplanned investments, and provides accurate and timely information across the supply base and internally across the infrastructure organization. • Lead the strategy for determining the operating model for ensuring we have continuity of supply to support development and deployment of new server hardware platforms.
• Drive day-to-day execution of this strategy with your team and engage directly with internal stakeholders and suppliers to resolve any supply issues. This includes working closely with suppliers, you will remove obstacles and provide resources to create a favorable supply chain, review staffing, and influence supplier selection.
• Serve in tools and processes for managing supply and driving improvements, summarizing complex systems for senior leaders and overseeing standardization. You’ll also determine potential data sources for analyzing supply, review dashboards for presenting analysis, and design and streamline data management processes.
• Manage internal cross-functional partnerships across multiple product categories, defining processes and governance for managing supplier partnerships, holding teams accountable for process and policy compliance, influencing near- and long-term sourcing decisions with impact across organizations, and ensuring that Sourcing and Finance are aligned with short- and long-term investment and supply needs to ensure continuity of supply in alignment with product and/or service roadmaps.
• Drives the end-to-end evaluation of supply chain operations, market conditions, and sourcing data across product categories to inform cross-functional strategies and decision-making that ensures continuous supply of products, components, and/or materials as needed to meet business and consumer demand. Leverages aggregate analyses of risk, issues, other factors, and historical trends to anticipate challenges and opportunities related to suppliers' supply chain that can impact decision-making across organizations and/or product categories.
• Manages and participates in contract and price negotiation activities as needed for one or more teams working cross-functionally to ensure price, capacity, and business terms are clearly defined, risks have been accounted for, and that negotiation strategies appropriately drive cost competitiveness. Where appropriate, ensures compliance with Microsoft's requirements for cross-functional engagements with suppliers.
