CloudLinux is seeking an Engineering Lead for their Imunify360 team. This global remote-first company focuses on Linux infrastructure and security products. The Engineering Lead will be responsible for driving technical excellence, ensuring the reliability, performance, and scalability of the Imunify360 Server infrastructure. This includes owning the entire development lifecycle from planning to deployment, leading a software development team, designing and scaling the server infrastructure, developing new features, investigating customer-reported issues, elaborating on architecture, and operating/maintaining a large fleet of dedicated servers. The role also involves collaborating with stakeholders to define goals and roadmaps, ensuring team alignment, and fostering a healthy team environment through regular 1:1s and performance reviews.
Must have:
  • 3+ years leading software development teams
  • Proficiency in Python and/or Go
  • Experience with high-throughput data pipelines (Kafka, ClickHouse)
  • Familiarity with NoSQL, relational, and in-memory key-value data stores
  • Experience designing high-throughput services (hundreds of millions of operations/sec)
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Analytical mindset for data-driven decisions
  • Good organizational and project management skills
  • Upper-intermediate or higher English proficiency
Good to have:
  • Experience with MongoDB, PostgreSQL, and Redis
  • Experience with Ceph/S3

We are looking for an Engineering Lead to join our Imunify360 team.

Imunify360 Security Suite is a product of CloudLinux Inc., the maker of the #1 OS in security and stability for hosting providers. Imunify is an innovative security solution designed specifically for shared and VPS/Dedicated servers. As an Engineering Lead, you will drive technical excellence and ensure reliability, performance, and scalability of the Imunify360 Server infrastructure. You'll own the entire development lifecycle from planning to deployment and lead a software development team.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and scale the Imunify360 server infrastructure.
  • Develop new features for the product, investigate issues reported by our customers, and be involved in the architecture elaboration.
  • Operating and maintaining a large fleet of dedicated servers, including API gateways, load-balancers, and internal processing nodes - backed by comprehensive monitoring/alerting and high-availability engineering.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define goals and a roadmap for the team.
  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure alignment in reaching common goals.
  • Ensure a healthy and high-performing team environment by conducting regular 1:1 meetings and participating in performance reviews.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of relevant work experience in leading positions in software development teams.
  • Proficiency in Python and/or Go programming languages.
  • Hands-on expertise building and running high-throughput data pipelines with Apache Kafka and ClickHouse (or similar technologies), at petabyte scale.
  • Deep familiarity with multiple data-storage paradigms: NoSQL, relational, and in-memory key-value.
  • Experience designing batched, high-throughput services that sustain six-figure API rates (requests/s) and internally execute hundreds of millions of operations per second.
  • Experience working with MongoDB, PostgreSQL, and Redis is a plus.
  • Experience working with Ceph/S3 is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to gather and interpret data, metrics, and user feedback to drive data-driven decision-making.
  • Good organizational and project management skills to ensure successful product delivery within deadlines.
  • Upper-intermediate or higher level of spoken and written English.
