Our Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) team plays a pivotal role in driving sustainable transformation for our clients, offering you the opportunity to contribute to meaningful change in various sectors. PwC’s Sustainable Business Solutions team and our ESG practice guide organizations in responding to global sustainability megatrends and building long-term resilience. We help clients develop strategies, meet stakeholder expectations, and measure sustainability impact based on robust and reliable data.

We are seeking a motivated Junior ESG Consultant/Expert to join our team. In this role, you will support clients in developing and implementing their ESG strategies, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and enhancing their sustainability reporting.
 

What You’ll Do:

  • Assist in preparing ESG reports and regulatory compliance assessments for financial and non-financial corporations.

  • Support clients in conducting materiality assessment.

  • Assist in implementing ESG risks and aspects into client’s business strategy, processes and policies.

  • Provide support and advice on sustainable value creation for clients.

  • Conduct data analysis to identify ESG performance and gaps.

  • Support clients in developing ESG strategies and processes.

  • Conduct ESG readiness assessments and due diligence.

  • Collaborate with senior colleagues and engage with PwC sustainability experts across Europe.
     

Who You Are:

  • You have a university degree in business, environmental science, sustainability management, engineering, or a related field.

  • You have 1-2 years of relevant experience in ESG consulting, sustainability reporting, or a related field.

  • You are familiar with sustainability reporting standards and regulations (e.g., GRI Standards, CSRD/ESRS, EU Taxonomy Regulation, SFDR, SDGs, GHG-accounting, carbon footprinting).

  • You have excellent analytical, problem-solving, and summarizing skills.

  • You are passionate about environmental, social and governance topics.

  • You enjoy teamwork and client interactions.

  • You have strong communication skills in English and Bulgarian; proficiency in other languages is a plus.
