Founded in 2010 in the heart of Innsbruck, Austria, stillalive studios has grown into an internationally respected, award-winning team of ~70 talented developers. Our team draws from a diverse range of countries focused around Europe and America, bringing a wealth of global expertise to our projects.

We specialize in crafting high-quality simulation and cozy games that appeal to a broad demographic, with a strong focus on simulation, engaging mechanics, and accessible gameplay. Our best-known work includes the critically acclaimed Bus Simulator franchise and our recent release, Garden Life. Through these projects, we have built a reputation for excellence in the simulation genre.

The studio is known for its mastery of Unreal Engine, which allows us to bring stunning detail and fidelity to our games and continuously grow our tech and tools suite for efficient development.

What You’ll Bring:

• In-depth knowledge of C++ development practices (including but not limited to template metaprogramming and allocation/layout strategies)
• Experience with Unreal Engine 5 (preferably launched a project; preferably with a team)
• Experience with functional paradigm patterns (pure functions, functors, monads, in languages such as Rust, Haskell, or F#)
• Experience in and passion for at least one of the following directions:
  • math (rendering, physics)
  • hardware (PC, consoles, networking stack, performance optimization)
  • architecture (preferably functional)
  • teamwork (tool development and/or lead experience)
• Passion and long-term vision toward building state-of-the-art products
