Job Description

Socialpoint seeks a Finance Intern to support their Finance team. Responsibilities include managing accounts payable processes across three entities, handling vendor setup, invoice management, and ensuring accurate financial records. The intern will assist with monthly/yearly closings, support audits, and co-manage business travel software. The ideal candidate possesses a nearly completed bachelor's degree in business administration or accounting, up to six months of accounting experience, and strong proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel. The role requires organization, accuracy, and a willingness to learn.

Position Overview:

 

Socialpoint is excited to welcome a Finance Intern to our Finance team! This role will play a key part in managing accounts payable processes across three entities, from vendor setup and invoice management to ensuring accurate financial records through journal entries and reconciliations. You'll collaborate closely with the team on monthly and yearly closings, support audits, and co-manage our business travel software, making a direct impact on the efficiency and accuracy of our financial operations. Our Finance team is dynamic, detail-oriented, and highly collaborative, and we're looking forward to the contributions you'll bring to help us excel!

 

What You'll do:

  • Accounts payable related tasks for 3 different entities: set up vendors, review and book purchase orders, invoices and payments.
  • Post journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded
  • Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues
  • Review and co-manage the Accounts Payable email
  • Assist with the monthly / yearly closing
  • Prepare audit information (monthly and yearly requirements)
  • Co-manage the Business Travel software of the company
  • Other accounting and administrative-related tasks



What You Bring: (3-5 points about requirements of the position)

 

  • Completed or close to complete a bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting or related degree (strong academic record)
  • Up to 6 months of accounting experience (internship will be valued)
  • Fluent in English both written and spoken
  • Organized, accurate in your tasks and eager to acquire new knowledge
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office (specially Excel & PowerPoint)
  • Positive attitude, flexible and self-motivated professional

  • Ability to meet deadlines and to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Team-worker with excellent cross-group collaboration
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
