Scopely seeks a Director of Production, Marketing Technology to lead and scale teams, ensuring efficient marketing technology ecosystem operations. Responsibilities include overseeing QA, managing producers, optimizing workflows, stakeholder communication, risk management, data-driven decision-making, technology integration, and live operations support for marketing campaigns. The ideal candidate possesses 8+ years of experience in production management, QA leadership, or marketing technology operations, preferably in gaming. Strong project management, workflow optimization, and stakeholder communication skills are essential, along with familiarity with marketing technology platforms (CRM, ad tech, analytics). The role involves collaborating with marketing, engineering, and game teams to enhance campaign strategy, execution, and analysis.
Must have:
  • 8+ years experience in production management/QA/MarTech
  • Team leadership and scaling in cross-functional environments
  • Managing QA for marketing tech & digital ad campaigns
  • Project management, workflow optimization, stakeholder communication
  • Familiarity with MarTech platforms (CRM, ad tech, analytics)
  • Problem-solving and risk mitigation

Scopely is searching for a passionate Director of Production to join Global Advertising team in Barcelona on a flexible hybrid basis!

The ideal candidate will have project management experience in the mobile industry. We are looking for someone who is passionate about the digital content production process and who is willing to work with technical teams to develop first-in-class analytical products
The Advertising team oversees our games' overall ads operations, strategy, and product offerings. The team collaborates with our product, sales, revenue operations and other teams to help improve campaign strategy, execution and analysis..
What You’ll Do
As a key operational leader, you will ensure that our marketing technology ecosystem runs efficiently, supporting game marketing campaigns with high-quality execution and seamless workflows. You will co-operate cross-functionally with marketing, engineering, Ad Monetisation, and game teams to optimise processes, drive transparency, and improve marketing technology operations at scale.
  •  Lead the QA Team: Oversee the development and execution of quality assurance processes to ensure the stability and effectiveness of marketing technology systems and campaigns.
  •  Manage the Production Team: Guide a team of producers responsible for tracking, coordinating, and communicating the marketing technology roadmap to stakeholders.
  • Optimize Workflow & Processes: Establish best practices for project management, prioritisation, and resource allocation to enhance efficiency and impact.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Act as the primary liaison between marketing, engineering, product, and creative teams to ensure alignment, transparency, and seamless collaboration.
  •  Risk Management: Identify potential roadblocks or inefficiencies in workflows and implement solutions to mitigate risks and improve execution speed.
  •  Data-Driven Decision-Making: Utilize performance data and analytics to inform production strategies and continuously improve workflows.
  •  Technology & Tool Integration: Work with engineering and marketing teams to implement and optimise martech tools (CRM, automation, analytics platforms, etc.).
  •  Live Operations Support: Ensure marketing technology infrastructure is robust and adaptable to support live service game marketing needs.

 

What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will have a blend of production management, QA leadership, and marketing technology expertise. Similar roles in other gaming companies may be titled Head of Production Operations, Marketing Technology Program Manager, or Director of Marketing Technology QA & Production.
  • 8+ years of experience in production management, QA leadership, or marketing technology operations, preferably in the gaming or entertainment industry.
  •  Proven ability to lead and scale teams, particularly in a cross-functional environment.
  •  Experience managing QA processes for marketing technology, digital ad campaigns, or live service marketing.
  •  Strong background in project management, workflow optimization, and stakeholder communication in fast-moving environments.
  •  Familiarity with marketing technology platforms (e.g., CRM, ad tech, automation tools, analytics platforms).
  • Strong problem-solving and risk mitigation skills to ensure smooth execution.
  • Experience working with agile methodologies and production tracking tools.
  • Comfortable working in a hybrid environment in Barcelona, collaborating across distributed teams.
