Game Designer (Level Designer)

As a Mobile Game Designer, you will design new mobile games, from scratch.
You will work on the concept of the game along with the level designing, its characters and anything that is required to design a complete game.
You will also define the way the game is played and the 'game experience’.

You will be working closely with the Co-Founders, Programmers, Artists and Animators to turn an idea into a working game.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with the team to define and improve the game’s vision and overall player experience.
With minimal supervision create and update the game’s design through Concept Proposals, Game Design Documents, and Functional Specifications.
Create concepts for characters, environments, props, design levels, create UIs, place sound/music, and tune/balance gameplay.
Perform as an enabler between the development functions to ensure game design fits within the parameters of the project.
Research game industry and product design trends to enhance the player’s experience.

Requirements

At least two (2) years of experience in mobile game design along with level editing tools and techniques.
Demonstrated experience and understanding of both premium and freemium mobile games.
Solid understanding of popular mobile, casual, and social games – recognises what makes them fun.
Understands current game design concepts, prototyping, non-linear storytelling, core loops, USP, etc.
Understands game analytics. Use a metrics-driven approach to game design, learning from users, as you drive retention, virality and monetization into the game’s design.
Must exhibit a strong and current passion for games and a strong sense of aesthetics applicable to producing AAA entertainment products.
Must be an avid gamer and play games across genres and platforms.
Knowledge of other game platforms and current trends.
Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Time manager & decision making abilities.
BA/BS or equivalent.
