About the role

As a Web3 developer at Lucky Kat, you will play a key role in shaping the future of gaming by helping the bridge the gap between the worlds of Web2 and Web3 through the seamless integration of blockchain technology, and decentralized applications into our game systems.

Working closely with a passionate team of game developers and designers, to help conceptualize and implement Web3 features that enhance player engagement, promote virtual economies, and introduce novel gameplay mechanics not previously possible in Web2, with a strong focus on user experience and fun!

 

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with game designers and developers to conceptualize and implement new Web3 features in our games.
  • Develop, and deploy smart contracts on the blockchain, with best practices for scalability, security, and flexibility.
  • Create APIs and integrations into our game and back end server logic.
  • Expand our current integration of tokenized item functionality (NFTs).
  • Assist in the implementation of decentralized marketplace solutions for in-game assets and virtual goods.
  • Work on schedule, set clear goals, meet deadlines.
  • Communicate your progress with fellow team members.
  • Give candid feedback.

Requirements - Must have

  • Proven experience in blockchain development, preferably in the gaming industry.
  • Able to self-learn new skills and keep up-to-date with the newest technologies.
  • Solid programming skills in languages such as JavaScript, Python, or Rust.
  • Proficiency in smart contract development, preferably Sui's Move.
  • Strong familiarity with decentralized finance concepts.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • A passion for games and game development.
  • Strong focus on performance and output.
  • Strong desire to be successful.
  • Fluent in English.

Nice to have

  • Experience with game development, preferably HTML5 and Javascript.
  • Experience with Unity, Unreal, Game Maker or other game engines.
  • Experience with Amazon AWS and Microsoft Azure.
