Job Description

As a Game Economist at SuperPlay, you will design the game's user experience from an economic perspective, predicting player behavior using existing data. Responsibilities include pricing virtual currencies, building predictive models to forecast the impact of content changes, collaborating with product teams on feature balancing, monitoring player balances, and analyzing large datasets to inform strategic and operational decisions. You will work to ensure the overall health of the game's economy and translate complex data analysis into actionable recommendations for the company. The role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication, a deep understanding of consumer social gaming behavior, and advanced Excel skills.

Must have:

BA/BSc in quantitative field
High-level analytical & problem-solving skills
Excellent communication skills
Advanced Excel knowledge
Understanding consumer social gaming behavior

Good to have:

Strong interest in games
Strong SQL experience
Previous analytical work in gaming
Advanced statistical tools knowledge (R, SAS, Python)
Experience in BI tools (Tableau, Looker)

What will you do in SuperPlay?

Design the user experience from an economic point of view, trying to predict the players' behavior according to the data we already have
Price the game's virtual currencies
Build simulations and predictive models to forecast the results of changes to the content proactively
Work with product teams on balancing new features
Monitor individual and macro player balances to ensure the overall health of the game's economy
Analyze large, complex data sets to address strategic and operational business decisions

Who are you?

BA/B.Sc. in Statistics / Math / Engineering / Economy or other quantitative fields
High-level analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to details
Excellent communication skills – someone who can turn complex concepts into actionable recommendations
A true passion for understanding consumers' social gaming behavior and tolerance for ambiguity
Advanced Excel knowledge, including data manipulation, etc
