Job Description Role ITAM Analyst, Reporting to Team Lead Work mode Hybrid Team player IT Asset Management (ITAM) Analyst Job Description – India The IT Asset Management (ITAM) Analyst is involved in the coordination of hardware and software acquisition, tracking, assignment, decommissioning, disposal and generally maintaining hardware and software inventory and assets; coordinate asset movement throughout the company and maintains software title. You will also provide oversight and coordination for IT asset inventory management and configuration management processes to support the Service Asset and Configuration Management (ITAM) program. You will be asked to have a customer-focused mindset. Responsibilities
Maintain hardware asset records in ServiceNow for the full lifecycle of the asset, from acquisition to disposal
Work with ServiceNow support teams to troubleshoot and resolve incidents involving issues with asset automation, discovery and integrations with other systems
Participate in outside audits for software and hardware assets
Perform periodic audits and update asset records accordingly
Manage asset records in ServiceNow
by fulfilling request for asset database updates
Maintain the database integrity and ensure compliance with asset governance and standards
Facilitate the accurate reporting of assets, including asset security compliance
Skills Required
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, MIS, Information Technology, or related field OR certification or equivalent experience
6-8 years’ experience with knowledge and application of IT Asset Management concepts and processes, including management of IT hardware and software procurement, and asset management processes throughout ITAM lifecycle
Experience with asset management software; specific experience with ServiceNow
Conceptual knowledge of Information Technology department functions and processes, or a previous IT Technical Support background
Direct knowledge and application of IT Asset Management concepts and processes, including management of IT hardware and software procurement, and asset management processes throughout ITAM lifecycle
Financial or Accounting experience accounting principles
Hands-on experience managing and reconciling hardware inventories, including conducting audits and reconciling discrepancies
And ability to detect anomalies and errors in records
Problem research, data gathering, capabilities
Knowledge or experience with automated discovery or monitoring tools
Experience working across multiple vendors and managed service providers.
Skills
ITIL Foundations V3 or V4 Certification
Asset Management certifications such as CHAMP, CAMP, CSAM
Experience with Armis
Lean IT Six-Sigma Certifications
Experience with Agile SAFE Methodology
