Position Summary
The Management Accountant will support the Finance leadership team in providing timely and accurate information to support decision-making. They will be responsible for the production of accurate financial reports whilst adhering to tight deadlines. The role will interact with various stakeholders across the business to improve processes and drive efficiencies.
Key Responsibilities:
Production of management accounts including profit and loss statements, balance sheets and supporting schedules.
Completion, review and analysis of balance sheet schedules
Production of sales analysis and gross margin reporting by customer/channels
Monitoring and improving internal controls for compliance with company policy.
Assisting with managing working capital to optimise cash flow.
Support with accurate reporting of operational costs including monitoring KPIs, explaining variances and providing recommendations for cost savings.
Distributing financial reports on overheads with supporting metrics to provide department owners and leadership visibility.
Perform analytical reviews of financial information to identify trends and opportunities. Provide recommendations to drive cost efficiencies in balance with operational needs and capabilities.
Preparing cost assessments for new projects including tracking and analysing spend.
Assist with annual audit, preparation of statutory accounts and tax planning / compliance activities.
Assist with the implementation of a new large scale global ERP implementation
Carry out any other reasonable duties defined by the Company to ensure business objectives / requirements are met.

Job Requirements
Formal Qualifications & Practical Experience
CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualified or equivalent
Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, economics or related field is preferred
Experience working in a distribution and or insurance industry would be advantageous.
Strong Microsoft Excel skills
Excellent numeracy and analytical skills – working with high volumes of data
Accounting & Audit background advantageous
Systems background highly advantageous (Oracle / Netsuite)

Strong communication (both verbal and written) with the ability to present to stakeholders across the business.
Ability to work under pressure, to react fast to changes & meet tight deadlines
Results focused with confidence to take actions using initiative
Happy working as a sole-contributor and able to work effectively in a cross functional team
