HOPE, founded in 2004, is dedicated to saving life, sustaining life, delivering aid, and eradicating educational inequality globally. Initially a disaster relief organization, HOPE has expanded to ensure every child has equal educational opportunities. The role involves managing administrative tasks, providing support to various departments, scheduling, event planning, and office coordination. It also includes handling calls, emails, and correspondence, organizing team lunches, and assisting with special projects. This position involves working directly with the Trustees. The work culture is collaborative and supportive, promoting personal and professional growth.
Must have:
  • Previous administrative or office-based experience is essential.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are required.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency with basic office software is needed.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • A proactive approach, and ability to work independently is a must.
  • Comfortable handling confidential information with discretion.

Responsibilities 

  • Manage daily administrative tasks. 
  • Provide administrative support to various departments. 
  • Assist with scheduling, event planning, and office coordination. 
  • Handle phone calls, emails, and correspondence, ensuring they are directed appropriately. 
  • Organize team lunches and assist with related logistics. 
  • Pack and organize eBay items for shipment. 
  • Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned. 
  • Work directly with our Trustees. 

Requirements 

  • Previous administrative or office-based experience is essential. 
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail. 
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. 
  • Proficiency with basic office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite). 
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritise, and meet deadlines. 
  • A reliable, proactive approach to work, with the ability to work independently. 
  • Comfortable handling confidential information with discretion. 

Additional Details 

  • Hours: Full time, 9am - 5pm.  
  • Compensation: We are happy to offer compensation of 23k – 25k based on a 5-day working week.
