CD PROJEKT RED is looking for a skilled Engineer to join our award-winning Warsaw studio, supporting our Narrative teams and Localization department. In this position you will work with our ambitious team to craft tools, pipelines and procedures capable of handling hundreds of thousands of lines of dialogue and bringing them to life in the game. As a Narration Engineer at CD PROJEKT RED you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and highly creative environment and have a significant impact and ownership on the development of one of our most important pipelines.
Daily Responsibilities
Collaborate with Story, Localization, Quest, and Cinematic teams to find solutions that achieve creative and technical goals.
Write high-quality code that is optimized, scalable, bug-free, and aligned with project goals.
Build and maintain narrative content tools, systems and pipelines, including:
Screenplay Editor and its connection to the Sequencer;
Dialogue Player to present subtitles and play voiceovers;
Voicesets for open world NPCs;
Pipelines that enable seamless synchronization of narrative content between the engine and external tools.
Minimum of 5 years experience in the game industry.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, mathematics or related field, or equivalent experience.
Extensive professional experience with Unreal Engine and/or other engines, and strong C++ programming skills.
Ability to comprehend unfamiliar code and work across many systems in the code base.
Solid communication skills, with the ability to communicate in English.
A team player.
An Agile mindset is a plus.
Passion for creating games.
Nice to have
Experience shipping AA or AAA title(s).
Experience working with Unreal Engine’s Sequencer.
Knowledge of relational databases.
Knowledge of C# and/or Python.
