Applies developed Pagewide Web Press subject matter knowledge to solve common and complex business issues within established guidelines and recommends appropriate alternatives, supporting the Americas region. Works on problems of diverse complexity and scope. May act as a team or project leader providing direction to team activities and facilitates information validation and team decision making process. Exercises independent judgment within generally defined policies and practices to identify and select a solution. Design support solutions, foster customer relationships, and act as a trusted advisor in service delivery. The role contributes to complex projects, establishes policies, and mentors lower-level employees while building productive internal and external relationships.
 

Responsibilities:

  • As an instructor, apply advanced technical knowledge to operate HP Pagewide Web Presses. Train customers, service partners, and other HP personnel to operator, maintain, and repair HP web presses and associated solutions.
  • Resolve single- and cross- technology incidents independently. Work with team members to resolve unusually complex or cross- technology incidents.
  • Proactively and reactively look for solutions to prevent problems from occurring in team/technology area.
  • Identify additional services that could lead to future service revenue growth.
  • Cultivates and expands relationships with complex and strategic customer accounts, thereby nurturing growth.
  • Acts as a trusted advisor and consultant, for both customers and the organization, in service delivery, whether related to business, technology, industry, or specific applications.
    Design and deliver support solutions using specific industry knowledge and expertise.
  • Lead Customer Expectation management as part of escalation process.
  • Applies advanced subject matter knowledge, leads, and contributes to complex projects, and exercises independent judgment in resolving business issues and establishing policies.
  • Develops and builds productive internal/external working relationships and may provide mentoring and guidance to lower-level employees.
  • 50% travel

  

Education and Experience Recommended:

  • Four-year or Graduate Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
  • Typically has 7-10 years of work experience, preferably in HP products in Customer base, account management, on site customer support, mission critical, TIJ print technology, or a related field.
     

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Proven capability to effectively deliver technical training.
  • Excellent customer facing experience.
  • Flexibility to act as advanced Tech Engineer and deliver Advanced technical support if needed.
  • Thorough knowledge of HP products and services offerings, HP organization, competition, third party products and market trends.
  • Broad knowledge of corporate organization, job, and policies.
  • Comprehensive business, technical or functional knowledge at an expert level.
  • Communicate tactfully with diplomacy up to senior management levels within an organization.
  • Active listening skills and ability to adjust messages to audience level.
  • Problem-solving skills (proactive, reactive and creative).
  • Color management expertise/G7 Expert certification preferred
  • Able to employ exemplary consulting skills by becoming a trusted advisor to the customer and providing clarity to solution determination.
  • Well versed in core technical competencies and peaked in some technical area(s) intermediate skills in project management, communication, analysis and presentation.
  • Provide suggestions for operational efficiencies

The base pay range for this role is $93,150 to $140,650 annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to US candidates only).  Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
