Summary

The People & Culture Business Partner will provide comprehensive HR support to corporate teams (Finance, Legal, Health & Safety, etc.) and oversee Group-wide Employee Relations. This involves ensuring company policies align with business objectives, working with P&C leadership to develop people strategies, and partnering with COEs to implement consistent P&C approaches. The role requires navigating organizational change, strong employment law knowledge, experience in a fast-paced environment (ideally retail, leisure, or hospitality), and the ability to work effectively in a matrix organization. Strategic thinking and balancing long-term planning with immediate needs are crucial.

Job Description

We are looking for our next People Business Partner to provide two key areas of expertise, a) full generalist HR support to the Group’s Corporate teams, including Finance, Legal & Company Secretary, Health & Safety, Procurement, Estates & Facilities, Business Transformation, and People & Culture, and b) to oversee Group-wide Employee Relations, working closely with venue P&C teams and external advisors to deliver effective ER solutions in the UK.  

This role is key to supporting business needs and ongoing transformation by ensuring company policies, strategies, and objectives are applied effectively. You will work closely with the P&C leadership team and support office functional managers to develop and deliver a people strategy that supports business goals.   

You will also partner with P&C Centres of Expertise (COEs) to implement the P&C strategy for central teams, ensuring a consistent and effective approach across the support office. 

Qualifications

  • Ability to help the organisation navigate through change and transformation 
  • Extensive knowledge and experience of HR, with solid employment law knowledge 
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced HR environment in a retail, leisure or hospitality   
  • Ability to effectively work in a matrix organisation and leverage COE’s for best practice 
  • Experience across a wide range of HR disciplines i.e. business partnering, reward, talent, recruitment, learning and development, employee relations 
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to balance long-term planning and immediate HR needs 
  • CIPD desirable obtained or working towards
