The HD Mapping team at Zoox Perception develops state-of-the-art CV/ML models to perceive HD map artifacts. Our products are critical to enabling autonomy in complex environments in a safe and reliable manner.
As part of this team, you will collaborate in designing and implementing models and algorithms to predict HD map elements, in 3D or orthographic visual feature representations, via multisensor fusion. Elements of interest include traffic lights and signs, lanes, curbs, dividers, their 3D structure, and the topological relationships between them.
We are looking for passionate interns who are interested in gaining industry experience while contributing to a technically challenging, safety-critical, world-changing product.
Technical Qualifications & Language Requirements:
- Candidates should have a strong math background and be comfortable with Python code.
- Experience in working with modern ML frameworks like PyTorch is a plus.
- Experience with multiview geometry, 3D reconstruction, 3D representations, and object detection is a plus.
Compensation
The monthly salary range for this position is $6,500 to $9,500. Compensation will vary based on role, degree level and type, and benefits will be offered based on eligibility. Additional benefits may include medical insurance, 401k, and a housing stipend.
