Responsibilities
Translate concept and reference into high quality in-game visual effects whilst staying within frame performance.
Work collaboratively with the Art/Design/Engineering disciplines to support and resolve gameplay challenges.
Elevate visuals beyond expectation through collaboration with Technical Art and Rendering teams.
Inspire, share with, and mentor other VFX and Technical Artists in the team.
Reports to the Lead VFX Artist.
Qualifications
Required Skills and Experience
A professional portfolio or VFX blog.
Development experience with at least one full project cycle as a Senior VFX Artist.
Experience in Game development or Film VFX production.
Excellent knowledge of content creation packages (Houdini/Maya/Substance Designer/Embergen/etc).
Effective time and team management skills to meet deadlines without sacrificing quality.
Strong communication and organisational skills.
Strong eye for quality.
Desirable Skills And Experience
Excellent artistic ability.
Excellent eye for quality control and detail.
Knowledge of languages such as VEX/HLSL is a bonus.
A broad technical understanding with the capacity to learn and utilize new skills quickly.
Experience with Unreal Engine or equivalent is a plus.
Some knowledge of 3D graphics and rendering techniques especially lighting and shading would be a bonus.
Excellent communication skills.
Well-organised and proactive.
Able to take, interpret, and give criticism constructively.
