This role is responsible for coordinating purchasing activities, including processing orders, maintaining supplier relationships, and ensuring timely delivery of goods. This role will also handle logistics functions such as packing and shipping, track shipping schedules and inventory levels, and coordinate with the global logistics team to ensure smooth shipment operations.

Your Role at ONI:

    • Coordinate purchasing activities, including receiving purchase requests, obtaining quotes, preparing purchase orders, and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services.
    • Identify, evaluate, and maintain relationships with reliable suppliers.
    • Review terms, pricing and regularly review supplier performance to ensure quality, delivery, and cost objectives are met.
    • Create, update, and track purchase orders according to company policies and procedures.
    • Track and monitor order status, resolve discrepancies, and follow up with suppliers to ensure timely order fulfillment.
    • Monitor and maintain inventory levels and supply chain to meet operational needs.
    • Work with internal teams to help forecast demand, analyze usage patterns, and support inventory management strategies.
    • Keep accurate and up-to-date records of all purchasing activities, contracts, pricing, and supplier agreements.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and suppliers, to facilitate effective communication, resolve issues, and ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
    • Adhere to company policies and procedures, ethical standards, in addition to relevant compliance and regulatory standards while conducting purchasing activities.
    • Assist with the packing and shipping of components and products, and use our ERP system (e.g., NetSuite) to help manage shipping schedules and inventory levels.
    • Work with the global logistics team to coordinate shipments and liaise with external and internal customers on a daily basis.
    • Conduct quarterly assessment of freight costs, transportation rates, and/or the prices of raw materials in the interest of cost reduction, presenting to the Logistics Manager when required.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
    • Minimum 2 years of experience in procurement, logistics, and/or supply chain.
    • Demonstrated organizational and multitasking abilities for managing purchase orders, tracking status, and prioritizing multiple projects and activities.
    • Experience reviewing contract terms, pricing, and supplier performance to ensure quality and cost objectives are met.
    • Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite) for order tracking and managing shipping schedules.
    • Solid understanding of procurement and inventory management regulations and compliance.
    • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers and cross-functional teams.
