Job Description

As a Product Manager at Google, you'll be responsible for guiding products from conception to launch, connecting the technical and business worlds. You'll work cross-functionally with engineering, UX/UI, sales finance, and other stakeholders. You'll analyze, position, package, promote, and tailor solutions for users. In this role, you'll drive innovation for Cloud Dataproc, powering Open Source Analytics at scale on Google Cloud. You'll also work with customers, field, and partners to address their needs. You'll partner with business development and go-to-market teams to build growth strategies, and align roadmap and OKRs with engineering, research, and key stakeholder teams.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 8 years of experience in product management or related technical role
  • 5 years of experience developing or launching products or technologies within Data Analytics or Big Data
  • 3 years of experience taking technical products from conception to launch
  • Experience in Open Source Technologies
Good to have:
  • Master's degree in a technology or business related field
  • 5 years of experience working cross-functionally with engineering, UX/UI, sales finance, and other stakeholders
  • 5 years of experience in a business function or role (e.g., strategic marketing, business operations, consulting)
  • 4 years of experience in a role preparing and delivering technical presentations to senior leadership
  • 3 years of experience in software development or engineering
  • 3 years of people management experience with direct reports, and in technical leadership

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $168,000-$252,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Responsibilities

  • Lead PRDs by collaborating with partner teams (e.g., engineers, program managers, UX) during product design and development to implement the requirements to turn PRDs into OKRs for multiple teams.
  • Drive the new set of innovations for Cloud Dataproc, powering Open Source Analytics at scale on Google Cloud.
  • Work with customers, field and partners to address needs.
  • Partner with business development and go-to-market teams to build growth strategies.
  • Partner with engineering, research, and key stakeholder teams to align roadmap and OKRs.
