Vinyl is the number one stylized vinyl collectible on the market, selling millions of figures to fans around the world.

The Security Lead will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Funko Security team. As Security Lead, you will work with internal and external partners to maintain and enhance the security and safety of our Funko HQ offices campus, Funko Everett distribution centers, and Funko HQ retail store. You will coordinate physical security, loss prevention (i.e. security services, access control, and CCTV systems), investigations, and threat assessments for Funko HQ, under the direction of the Security Manager. You will supervise employees performing 24/7 specific security, safety and loss prevention objectives and monitor staff performance and expenses.

• Oversee, instructs, and coordinate the activities of Unarmed Guards.
• Monitors and arranges shift activities according to schedule requirements and staff availability.
• Ability to apply effective analytical and critical thinking skills, and solve problems independently and as part of a team.
• Monitor, assess, and address the physical security and safety of the HQ retail store and in-store events.
• Collaborate with other groups within Funko (i.e. HR, Legal, etc.) and outside of Funko (i.e. Emergency Services: fire, police, EMS (Emergency medical services), Departments of Environmental Health.
• Observes, verbally de-escalates, and reports incidents or suspicious activity to the Security team and store management. Manage narratives, logs, and case reports as required.
• Ensure timely delivery of services and develop security plans for onsite special events and other unique security situations to assure proper access control and evacuation procedures are followed.
• Makes consistent patrols in and around office buildings, and retail store(s)/events, checking for unsafe conditions, hazards, security violations, and unauthorized persons.

Must-Have Superhero Gadgetry

• 4 years of security experience, including CCTV usage in a retail store setting
• 1 year of management experience
• Flexible work schedules (e.g., nights, weekends, and holidays) and regular attendance are necessary. Bring your passion and expertise 
• A results-focused leader that can thrive in a dynamic, high-growth environment, and take personal accountability.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of local laws on theft, shoplifting, and apprehension laws.
• Hands-on experience in implementing safety training and development programs that support and enable organizational culture while ensuring the safety of people involved in the business.
• Experience defining, developing, and implementing security policies, processes, and technology is a plus

Work Environment 

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
