Senior Cloud Engineer

Onward Search is a specialized staffing and talent solutions company that helps professionals find top jobs with the nation’s leading brands. We’re looking to hire a Senior Cloud Engineer for a leading gaming and interactive entertainment company with a dynamic and innovative work culture.

You’ll join the Cloud Engineering team to assist with migrating existing workloads to Azure from Google Cloud and onboarding new developer teams and workloads. This is a 12-month contract opportunity. The role is located in Santa Monica, CA, and is hybrid.

Senior Cloud Engineer Responsibilities:

• Manage and optimize Azure AKS clusters to ensure high availability and scalability.
• Implement and maintain GitOps-driven workflows using ArgoCD, GitHub Actions, and Helm.
• Configure and manage Azure AKS IAM to ensure secure access and permissions.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure seamless transition of applications and services.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Kubernetes clusters and deployments.
• Document processes, configurations, and best practices for Kubernetes operations.

Senior Cloud Engineer Requirements:

• Strong knowledge of Helm and Go templating.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
• Experience running multi-tenant Kubernetes clusters at scale.
• Experience with GitOps-driven workflows using ArgoCD and GitHub Actions.
• Solid understanding of Kubernetes networking concepts and CNIs.

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of Crossplane for managing infrastructure through Kubernetes.
• Strong understanding of Policy as Code tools such as OPA or Kyverno.
• Expertise in Azure AKS IAM.
