Job Description
As a Senior Finance Analyst for Google Cloud in Germany and Strategic Industries, you'll act as a CFO, partnering with Sales leaders to optimize business performance. Key responsibilities include engaging with leadership to support decision-making, coordinating finance execution of the German Sovereign Cloud partnership, partnering cross-functionally with Sales, Sales Operations, and Customer Experience, tracking and forecasting top-line performance, contributing to yearly planning and resource allocation, analyzing and approving commercial agreements, tracking investments and measuring ROI, and supporting data center capacity expansion initiatives. The role requires strong analytical skills, experience in financial planning and analysis, and fluency in German.
Must have:
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field or equivalent experience
- 7+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis
- Fluency in German
- Experience with large datasets and dashboard building
- Partnering with Sales leaders to optimize business performance
Good to have:
- Experience with SQL, Javascript, Java, R, or Python
- Knowledge of the Cloud/Software industry
Job Details
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or another quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 7 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, consulting, or a related function, or an advanced degree.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with SQL, Javascript, Java, R or Python.
- Experience working with large datasets and building dashboards (data visualization).
- Knowledge of the Cloud/Software industry.
- Ability to self-direct work in an unstructured, fast paced environment; comfortable with ambiguity.
- Ability to communicate in German fluently in order to communicate with internal and external stakeholders.

As a Senior Finance Analyst for Germany and Strategic Industries, you will act as a CFO, partnering with Sales leaders to optimize business performance, focusing particularly on business.The name Google came from "googol," a mathematical term for the number 1 followed by 100 zeros. And nobody at Google loves big numbers like the Finance team when providing in depth analysis on all manner of strategic decisions across Google products. From developing forward-thinking analysis to generating management reports to scaling our automated financial processes, the Finance organization is an important partner and advisor to the business.
Responsibilities
- Engage with Germany and Strategic Industries leadership (VP/MD level) to support decision making. Coordinate the Finance execution of the German Sovereign Cloud partnership.
- Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Sales Operations, Customer Experience, Finance. Track, analyze and forecast top-line performance (business and bookings), set sales goals.
- Contribute to yearly planning and resource allocation (headcount and non-payroll expenses).
- Analyze and approve commercial agreements: model economics, advise on non-standard terms. Track and allocate investments and measure their ROI.
- Support data center capacity expansion initiatives.
