Job Description

This Account Manager role focuses on driving growth for Google's large consumer and technology clients. Responsibilities include exceeding quarterly goals, owning a portfolio of complex accounts, understanding client growth drivers, and proactively pitching and consulting on marketing strategies and budgets. The role requires building multi-quarter plans, managing risks, and partnering with internal and external stakeholders. A deep understanding of online media, strong communication skills, and the ability to build compelling narratives are crucial. The successful candidate will develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline, maximize impact, and build long-term client relationships, leveraging Google's diverse product offerings across search, video, and mobile to achieve customer business and marketing objectives.

Job Details

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience in advertising, consultative sales, business development, online media environment, or marketing role.
  • Ability to communicate in English fluently to support client relationship management in this region.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience strategically assessing and achieving client success via sales techniques, including effective questioning, objection handling and promoting.
  • Ability to own a portfolio in an advertising or media sales context and consistently overachieve quotas to drive growth.
  • Ability to build compelling narratives and utilize storytelling as a client engagement strategy while demonstrating thought leadership and high executive functioning within the digital marketing space.
  • Ability to lead and manage multiple projects with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders while thinking strategically and developing action plans.

Our Large Customer Sales teams partner closely with many of the world’s biggest advertisers and agencies to develop digital solutions that build businesses and brands. We enjoy a bird’s eye view on the massive transformation occurring as advertising shifts to mobile and online platforms. We're uniquely situated to help shape how companies grow their businesses in the digital age. We advise clients on Google's broad range of products across search, video and mobile to help them connect instantly and seamlessly with their audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver against ambitious quarterly business and product growth goals while driving customer growth by delivering outstanding customer sales experience and achieving customer business and marketing objectives.
  • Own a portfolio of large complex businesses by thoroughly understanding growth drivers, identifying constant opportunities for growth, managing risks and building multi-quarter plans for achievement.
  • Pitch and consult with customers proactively to support marketing discussions and budgets, while developing and maintaining a pipeline that helps to manage the business and maximize impact.
  • Partner with team members and a diverse set of cross-functional partners to drive business opportunities that build long-term growth, while exhibiting strong stakeholder management internally and externally alongside relationship building with the end customers.
