Job Description

As a Field Sales Representative (FSR) for Google Cloud, you'll focus on acquiring new enterprise customers and securing foundational workloads. You'll lead engagements, identify business problems, and develop solutions using Google Cloud's offerings. This involves building relationships across various customer levels (developers to C-suite), managing complex sales cycles, presenting to executives, and negotiating terms. You'll work cross-functionally, leveraging resources and partners to maximize business impact. You'll be responsible for prospecting, building relationships, and becoming a trusted advisor on long-term technology and business decisions. Expertise in the customer's business, including their SaaS portfolio, technology strategy, and financial structure, is crucial. You will drive business development, achieve operational excellence, and accurately forecast to meet strategic goals.
Must have:
  • 10+ years quota-carrying cloud/software sales experience
  • B2B software sales or account management
  • Financial services sector experience
  • Fluent English and French
  • Lead new customer acquisition
  • Cross-functional team collaboration
Good to have:
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams
  • Commercial and legal negotiation experience
  • Experience with customer developers and technical leads
  • Selling cloud solutions across multiple industries
  • C-level relationship cultivation

Job Details


Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience with quota-carrying cloud or software sales, or account management at a B2B software company.
  • Experience prospecting, or building customer relationships from scratch.
  • Experience in financial services sector.
  • Ability to communicate in English and French fluently to support client relationship management in this region.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience working with, and leading, cross-functional teams and partners in implementations and negotiations.
  • Experience with commercial and legal negotiations, working with Procurement, Legal, and Business teams.
  • Experience working with customer developers and customers technical leads to inventory software estate, define migration plans, and build migration business cases.
  • Experience selling cloud solutions, infrastructure software, databases, analytic tools, or applications software across multiple industries, aligning solutions to drive business outcomes.
  • Experience cultivating C-level relationships and influencing executives.

As a Field Sales Representative (FSR) focused on new customer acquisition for enterprise accounts, you will be responsible to grow Google Cloud’s market share by acquiring new logos and securing the foundational workloads to accelerate their consumption business. You will lead the engagement with a group of cross-industry enterprise customers and assist them in solving their business issues with our solutions. You will identify specific business problems working with stakeholders across the accounts, and partner with the extended team to develop technical solutions to solve them. You will also be responsible for building meaningful relationships across various levels within the customer from developers to C-suite executives. Additionally, you will lead a cross-functional team and leverage the right resources, including customer developing, business development, cross-functional sellers, and partners to maximize outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead prospecting and acquisition of new logos, creating and building customer relationships from scratch, and establishing as a trusted advisor on their long-term technology and business decisions.
  • Be an expert on the customers business, including their SaaS product portfolio, technology strategy, strategic growth plans, business drivers, financial structure, customer base, vertical market offering and engaged landscape.       
  • Lead account strategy to develop business growth opportunities, working cross-functionally with multiple teams and Google partners to maximize business impact within enterprise customers.
  • Manage complex business cycles, presenting to C-level executives and negotiating terms.
  • Drive business development, own operational excellence at scale, forecast accurately, and achieve strategic goals by leading customers through the entire business cycle.
