Job Description

N-iX seeks a Senior Java Full Stack Engineer to accelerate product development for their flagship workforce management offering, HotSchedules Labor. The role involves developing new features, REST services for web/mobile apps, designing DB schemas, and maintaining the existing codebase. The team is international, requiring strong English communication (B2 level or higher). Backend tasks are more prevalent, but frontend (ReactJS) experience is necessary. This position offers the opportunity to improve English language skills and work remotely, or in the office, or flexibly.

Must have:

5+ years Java engineering experience
Proficient in Java 11 (17 a plus)
Spring experience
ReactJS experience
Strong English communication (B2+)

Good to have:

Bachelor's degree in CS
AWS/Azure experience
BackboneJS experience

Our customer is looking for a Senior Java FullStack Engineer to accelerate product development and get more done for the overall roadmap for their flagship workforce management offering HotSchedules Labor. Currently the team is international with developers and QA from Ukraine, Latin America and the US. This will be a perfect opportunity to master your English language skills as many meetings are conducted in English. Most devs in the team are full-stack developers although the backlog is heavier on backend tasks, hence some experience in front end development (ReactJS) will be needed.

Responsibilities:

Develop new features from the product backlog.
Develop REST services to support high-volume, low-latency web and mobile apps.
Design and implement DB schema to allow new functionality.
Maintain existing codebase.

Requirements:

5+ years of quality engineering experience.
Proficiency in Java 11 (Java 17 is a plus).
Experience with Spring.
Good understanding of JavaScript, HTML and CSS.
Experience with ReactJS.
Strong command of communication skills (in English) (At least B2 level).

Nice to have:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, similar technical field of study, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience with AWS (or Azure) cloud services is a plus.
Experience with BackboneJS is a plus.
