Your impact
As a Senior Project Controller your mission is to improve the company's Net Investment in clients and act as a business partner for partners, directors and managers regarding the finance processes and day to day operations on Engagement Management (Gross Margin).
As primary role, our future Senior Project Controller is responsible for the entire Engagement management process from job creation and monitoring to billing of jobs within a specific Business Unit and reporting on financials of this unit.
You will make an impact by:
Monitoring of WIP and AR
Review of project margins/deficits, analysis of client and project information
Taking care of quarterly WIP and AR confirmations + follow-up of action to be taken
Give advice on/ensure correct WIP valuation & treatment
Support and guide billing advisors on WIP matters
Provide the necessary ad-hoc reporting (revenue data, chargeability...)
Perform monthly reconciliation of project results with billing variance (monthly project movements)
Taking care of the reconciliation of WIP/P&L
Ensure quality of and account all revenue- and billing-variance-related ethics
Analyse and explain the monthly revenue results
Give training on Revenue recognition processes and Timesheet completion
Support the business controller in ad hoc analyses and monthly financial reporting
Secondly, you take ownership of the Engagement Management process and the different systems linked to this process. This enables you to support the team lead on ad hoc requests, process improvements, system changes, etc.
About you
have a Bachelor’s or Master's degree (ideally economical-financial orientation) and/or at least three years of experience in financial project management (i.e. financial follow-up of clients and projects), analytical accounting or controlling
have an advanced knowledge of Excel
have a flexible approach to work in order to achieve deadlines
have strong analytical and organisational skills
have a team-oriented attitude and possess excellent communication skills in English, Dutch and French
are conscious of the importance to meet internal client needs
show initiative and dynamics and will become the SPOC for managers, directors and partners for all WIP related matters
Are hands-on and willing to deep-dive into processes/systems Go beyond what is reflected in processes and systems.
Identify issues and find solutions accordingly.
